Start the man... If they trade him or do anything outside of starting him next year, I might have to pull a Chris at VR. :D

Anyone recall what I said about the vision? Are you seeing it? He may not be Emmitt but he damn near has a little bit of every trait you want in a well rounded starting running back. Give him the majority of the carries next year and mix in Felix "glass jaw" Jones as the change of pace. Our running game is right here folks. We need to shore up a few areas (Safeties, OL, pass rush) and we'll be in good shape next year with Dez returning to launch an all out assault on the rest of the league.

All Victor Butler does is just make plays.... just sayin..

OScan has redeemed himself well. :D

Let's see.. more random thoughts...

  • Vick's game is on another level. They can't see him.
  • The Giants punter will visit the waiver wire very soon.
  • Tebow looks like he runs a 4.1 40 yard dash.

Choice is not going to start, but hopefully we release Barber and choice will be a very good #2 RB for us next year.

what 15 carries for 53 yards

yippie

can you not say SB

Can you say positive gains despite an oline desperately in need of a revamp? Can you say warrior? Can you also say not limping out of the game every few plays like some other RB that will remain unnamed?

Choice and Felix will be our 1a and 1b next year imo. It really doesn't matter who starts, as i think both will see alot of touches, as they should. RB is one of the least of our problems right now.

Those 3 yards a carry are awesome, I tell you what.

Let's be fair here.

15 carries for 53 yrds and a TD + 4 catches for 31 yrds = 84 combined yards and a TD

Not too shabby in my book. Reliable too. He's definitely not made of glass.

So now that Barber is hurt you're going after Felix?

Am I not speaking the truth? Felix needs to grow a pair. Durability is a must in the NFL.

For the record, I an not going after anyone... Just calling it as I saw it today (which isn't hugely different from any other day). Felix needs to increase his toughness quotient.

Eh.. Felix has shown to be more durable this year imo. I don't think either guy deserves to be the feature back right now and take the majority of the carries, but i would say both deserve to get alot of touches next year, and whoever has the hot hand, ride them out.

Choice is a very capable back and could probably start for some other teams in this league but Felix is the most dynamic and special back on our roster.

He makes people look downright silly in space and the sky is the limit with him if we can establish some consistent run blocking.

Don't get me wrong I got mad love for Choice and would feel comfortable going into a big game with him as a starter but I want Felix to always get the bulk of the touches - because he's always a threat to take it to the house anytime he gets his hands on the ball.

Felix makes himself look downright silly in space at times as well. I remember a handful of plays this year where he gets in space and tries to make one fake too many and ends up stopping his forward momentum completely to the point where he's not sure which way he's going to go and just gets taken down.

Again, i think they both deserve alot of touches next year. Neither is that much better than the other imo. Felix has more physical talent, and Choice has better vision and patience.

You have to stay on the field in order to display your explosiveness on a regular basis (over a full season...). Felix has shown a little more toughness this year. Then he has games like this where he appears to have twisted 12 ankles. I'm just not a fan of a RB that doesn't suck it up and play manly back there (ala Emmitt). I'll get over it...

I agree with that, everything else was kinda meh.

Well you can roll Barber, Choice, and Felix into one back and you aren't going to get Emmitt - but I really think those two are going to both have big years next year. Especially if we get Chryst.

RBs are a dime a dozen and can be found anywhere in the draft or as FAs. Choice is OK, nothing to write home about.

Choice balled out in December against Pittsburgh, New York, Baltimore, and Philly's defense when Jim Johnson was still running things - and with a banged up QB.

I learned everything I need to know about him from that month.

I'm still on the Choice is just OK bus. 15 for 53 doesn't even get to the 4 yds per carry that is minimum requirement in my book.

Felix even with a few problems/tweaks/injuries was 12 for 70 which is more than 5 ypc, much more like the return of a good back. I'd like to see him not struggle with tweaks so much and carry the rock 20 times and hit 100 yds consistently before he is considered our feature back.. maybe thats never gonna happen.

Felix had 70 yds. on 12 carries and 47 on 2 catches...Yea, Choice is the man..

Felix is special at times. He's not a consistent ground gainer though. Choice is more consistent. Choice finds daylight. Neither are superlative runners.
