I honestly don't believe Tashard Choice has anything extra to offer than what Tanner or Randle does. They'll have an opportunity to drop one of the players currently on our active roster if they really think he'd be an upgrade. I seriously doubt we'll see that come to fruition. Choice hadn't exactly endeared himself to the staff before they decided to part ways with him previously. I see no reason for that to dramatically change now.

People way over reacted to the autograph thing. Didn't bother me either way, these guys are friends off the field. They hang out and laugh and BS after games, its not like college where you hate the other guy.

If true, then they need to exchange autographs while their hanging out. Not on National TV after a bad loss. I wanted to reach through my screen and ***** slap Choice.

We should just bring back Troy Hambrick and his patented Dookie Stick move. I hear he was keeping himself in shape in the Florida Penal league.

Choice would be a decent emergency addition who you can trust to keep Romo upright but he provides zero threat.

At this point in the season he would be a solid rental but Choice was never a guy who handled that type of challenge well.
When he couldn't start he sulked and just tried to get by.
I am sure he has matured but he was also released for a reason.

He isn't providing Dunbar's speed but he might provide some durability and blocking.

no. we don't.
until they up roster sizes teams have to do this.

we actually do it pretty well.

a lot of teams tried out 8-10 players this week.
we've been doing it for a couple months now.

Yeah, Paul Crewe is handing him the ball.

I will say that Choice was a decent back his 1st few seasons here. I thought he should have been the starter.

I'd think about him as a replacement for Tanner. I liked his vision and ability to set up blocks. And the autograph thing in a non-issue. Playing football well is what matters to me, and Choice had him moments.

What do ya think...Any interest from Cowboys..?

is that a JOKE? I didn't know he was still in the league. NEVER forget him running out of bounds multiple times when we needed to run clock. He's a gutless wonder.

This is a LOAD......i'm sorry....let's don't kid ourselves here. Tashard Choice, Martellus and Crayton all had one problem. The exact problem actually. They were 3rd on the depth chart. They were inferior to the players behind them. Choice was never going to get ahead of Felix and Barber on the depth chart because they simply were better players. Crayton was never going to get ahead of Roy Williams, Miles or TO because they simply were better players. Martellus was never going to get ahead of Witten because he simply was a inferior player.

Now we should fault Choice because he wanted a chance to start and get more carries somewhere else after being buried here? There's a lot of things you can blame TO for. But putting their careers on him is unfair and silly. Besides, they are grown men. Now some 10 year olds.

Pretty much. I could respect the "I don't like Owens" response. Atleast its honest. But putting everything on him? That's crazy.

Its his rookie year lol. If you gave up on a guy in his rookie year.....there would be a lot of GM's out of jobs. It doesn't click for some guys until year 2 or 3.

I think when you look at a lot of rosters there usually isn't a lot of difference between the 2/3 on the depth chart. A lot of time it comes down to opportunities, I'm not saying that was the situation with choice, but it could be argued that was the situation with Bennett/Crayton. That's why you see so many players in the NFL change teams and excel, it's not the change of scenery, it's being given the opportunity to actually play.

Sometimes you can't properly evaluate talent in practice, some guys are practice well and others don't, they excel under pressure and on game day. I would never cut Randle as long as he's second on the depth chart, not unless you have a large enough sample of him as a starter.

I am glad you two said this I was about to say the same thing. Its one thing to not like a player its another to make up baseless accusations about him. I would take 22 TO's. He had an excellent work ethic. Funny thing is people who don't even know dude can't stand him, but people who actually know him pretty much all like him, with a few exceptions.

You know who doesn't like him? The orphans that he blew off while playing arena.

Maybe there isn't a huge gap in talent, but a lot of times there are large gaps in how effective #1 is than #2. Most of the time, the guys getting paid millions of dollars to put the best team on the field are right.

I disagree, I'm all about churning the bottom of the roster to keep the fringe players on their toes.
