Choice Should Be Starting When Healthy

He is obviously the most complete back with felix being his speed supplement with Barber coming in on "insurance drives". I LOVE BARBER, but he gives up a lot on the open field even with his offensive "powering runs". I really think Tashard would set up the offesnse nicely w/barber and jones coming in off the bench even though I know gm "responsibilities" will make them go with Barber. When Barber is healty I would start with him, but with him gimping around after five yards how much momentum can that really bring even if he is "setting the tone"? Get the fresh backs in there and for god please teache them how to pass protect properly! Start Choice, supplement Barber, and let Felix do what what he knows to do. When Barber is "fully healthy" he can return to Choice's role (unless he is obviouslly out proving him) and let's play with what the best we have instead babying egos...

You're going to need this. I happen to have a spare. I wear mine all the time.

As Lee Corso would say, "NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND!"

Choice is an awesome RB. But let's not forget that Marion Barber, besides Tony Romo, is the heart and soul of the offense. And when Felix is able to play, he too should be getting some very meaningful carries because he is too explosive not to be on the field.

I love Tashard, but he'll have to share for now.

I truly believe that Barber will be traded if there is no salary cap next season. I could see Dallas trading Barber for a 2nd round pick and using that 2nd to pick up a position of need like FS. I beleive Choice is better as well, but by benching Barber you kill his trade value.

There are not enough carries in a given game to get all 3 players involved involved in my opinion. I like Choice but MB3 and Felix should be getting most if not all of the carries in my opinion.

Not sure I agree that Choice is the most complete back either. MB3 is the more powerful runner, is much better at blitz pick up and has good hands as well.

I like MB3 and Felix get the bulk of the carries and Choice as the 3rd down back.

How about keep all frickin three.

Choice knows his role on this offense, and at the rate MBIII and Felix get hurt, he'll get his touches.

I truly believe that out of all three he is the last one that Jerry would trade...and i agree......unless that safety is Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu im not interested.....cant replace heart and character......

I just want whoever is in there to give us the best chance to win. As far as i am concerned Barber needs to be limited until his leg heals. This is two seasons in a row hes riding nicks that effect his game considerably all season long.

Its a trend and we need Barber more in December than we do now.

I'm with you, man. I second this, completely. MBIII has heart, soul & desire. Don't trade that away. We need more of this, not less.

Maybe Choice should be starting, maybe not. I will agree that he is the best "all-around" back on the team. Barber does bring a lot from a heart standpoint and he gives it everything he has. I happen to think Choice is actually the more natural runner and is actually more talented. He has a good combination of speed and power and is fantastic catching the ball out of the backfield. I don't care who's getting paid what. I want the most effective players on the field.

If Felix Jones weren't the most talented back on the roster, then I'd consider the thought of Choice being the starter... IMO Barber is over-rated.

But Choice is no Felix Jones.

With the current injury situation, I would...

1) start Choice
2) sprinkle in Jones
3) Barber on blocking downs and close-out

However, when Barber is back to being 100%, which likely won't be until next year, I would

1) Start Barber
2) Mix up Barber, Choice, and Jones all game
3) Finish with Barber

Agreed, run the healthy back let the others heal. Full stop.

I agree. We have an excellent stable of RBs right now and we need all three of them. Both Barber and Jones are injury-prone and it is a great comfort to have Choice able to step in when needed. I'd like to see him get more touches during the games when all three are healthy but that's not always feasible.

Jones is our home-run threat, Barber is the workhorse, and Choice is a utility man. I love having all three available as needed and hope we don't trade any of them.

Agreed,

There isn't any complaining that I have heard of. I am sure this won't be though. One of em is gonna want their money. If they do trade one, get some WR help or OL help in the draft before another defensive player.

I like all 3 backs and support who ever is in the game. Right now the staff has Barber starting I'm sure their reasons are based off what they want to do within the offense and what they see during the week. I know it is hard to believe that coaches who see these guys 5 to 6 days a week just might have a better ideal about these players and how they fit in the different formations and plays they are wanting to run.
