ESPN always had/has guys who smell of "never played the game". That complete idiot Olbermann, Dan Patrick Tony Korn-wholer, and of course this guy Berman. I don't know if it's true, but they all "smack" of guys who were cheerleaders or in the band, and NOW are experts about sports.
I can see this guy at Brown University, the ultimate frat-boy..........a character right out of "Animal House". Maybe was on the inter-mural flag football "B" team that played on Saturdays mornings before the "big game" on the soccer field.
I'll never listen to a word he says ever again after all his ejaculating and swooning over the Whiners all during the 80's. You'd swear he was on the payroll or something! Then again, who better than an ex-male cheerleader to carry the torch for a team from San Francisco???

Bitter much?

"Inter", "Intra", whatever. Guys who "never played the game" focus on spelling errors too, it was their focus in school while others were "playing the game"...............

Guys who "never played the game" did focus on spelling. Its why they are better at the job...

An absolutely perfect way to handle letting people know about this without breaking the Guidelines here.

Thank you. I hope this practice catches on.

How on earth is this different that posting the video? If I tell you what corner to go to, and who to look for to score a brick of cocaine, how is that different from just giving you the brick myself?

I mean I understand what you're trying to do here, but there is no difference here between posting the direct link and saying go here and do this to see it.

Anyway, on topic, having worked in tv for a little while, Berman has every reason to be pissed. Ducking under a camera is completely stupid and unprofessional when someone is trying to record, I've also seen people flip out a lot worse than that over less.

It's not like they are on the street, they are in a studio, everyone in there knows what's going on and should possess an ounce of common sense.

I can only imagine how difficult some of the people at Networks like ESPN are to work for.

A few more years, few more slices of pizza and Berman is going to look like Chris Farley doing primetime, big and sweating with all those hand gestures.

I still like the guy. I wish the show was just him and jackson and they just talked about football like they used to, now they are the morality police and everything else.

Olbermann and Patrick were great together in the 90s when the Cowboys were hitting thier prime. And Kieth is still increadibly intellegent and insightful as far as I'm concerned.

Berman is classic there - thats the real world.

People do stupid stuff and Berman blasted them.

no zone fanners have ever "sweared"? I know we censor and disallow links to that type of behaviour. But may it actually happen in the real world like that?

I've seen it happen in real life.

It's still funny.

Personally, I think Berman is one of the better analysts working for ESPN. That may not be saying much, but it's JMO.

And bring back the Jacked Up segments, I loved those.

Never thought of Berman this way, wow! What a prick!

I didn't like him because he's anti Cowboys!

Now I don't like him because he's a real authentic prick!

I always knew my dad called him Chris Vermin for a reason!:laugh2:

Yes, great knowledge;)
Sonny played in Hawaii for one season on the Hawaiians,a WFL team, in 1975.

Other noteworthy players on that team in Hawaii were Calvin Hill (yes , some podunk team from Hawaii lured Calvin Hill away from the Cowboys), Duane Thomas and third-string qb Jim Fassel.
