I haven't been reading the threads faithfully as I used to, so I'm sorry if this is a repost, but has anyone posted or taken into consideration of the Chris Canty factor? For example it seems that every time Romo made an audible the Giants made the proper defensive alignments. It was quite obvious on the first interception (return for a touchdown) and many other times during the game where Antonio Pierce made the proper defensive adjustments.

I doubt is played a factor...The Giants players just had some good coverage calls and romo made some bad decisions.

They do that every game dude, there's players all over the place helping scheme against former teammates like the Jets did vs the Pats this past Sunday. Even named their team captains for the game 3 former patriot players, 2 of which wouldn't even sniff the field. It sucks but it's something you gotta deal with. If we did that to someone else I wouldn't care personally, win at all costs. If you know they have players from your team, plan ahead and counter their knowledge with some improvisation maybe?

I think the reason you think Antonio Pierce doing that is so foreign is because our defense never does anything remotely close to it.

It just seems like the Giants' players were well prepared when Romo audibled. Canty definitely spilled the beans........

Canty doesn't even know all our offensive checks. This isn't anything like the Jets getting a QB a week before the season started.

Good point by the OP.

He played with Tony in practice for 4 or 5 seasons. I am sure he knows his tendencies. Although, the way Tony checked out of that play was so demonstrative.

And not only the offensive side, but the defensive side. They blocked everything perfectly and knew all the blitzes coming.

They've played against Romo for three years now. They already know his tendencies. They don't need some defensive tackle to come in and tell them that.

Amen.

They have an excellent staff there.

The biggest coup they ever could have had to understand was when they hired chris palmer in 07 as their qb coach. If anyone would understand romo it would be him. he was his qb coach in 06 and was one of the many coaches who played a role in his development.

I know romo has alot of respect for him too, he runs right over too him when we play the giants and talks to him for a while.

And I dont think any of this matters. They just have good players and a good staff and they get results on defense. They have a new dc calling plays for the first time and they shuffled in a new linebackers coach and shuffled some spots for coaches in the secondary. They had a plan to keep romo in the pocket and wait for him to make mistakes. They did it and they won.

I didn't take that point into consideration and I can agree with you C-Lab, I just wanted to express an opinion and obtain some feedback from you guys' perspective. Often times we hear about coaches picking player's minds especially when that particular player came from a division opponent.

If the Giants had the inside scoop on our offense and still allowed 31 points, their defense is in big trouble.

But i thought Romo had the Giants #? He was 4-1 against them and had put up big numbers in the past. The Cowboys play the Giants every year too, yet still had trouble with their blitzes and schemes. And that game was not just about good players vs good players. If it was, the Cowboys would have won.

If you look at the other thread...its near the top right now...Pierce didn't know what our play was. And it's been talked about 100 times, but Crayton was open on that play. Tony just made a bad throw. Too much credit is being given to Pierce for that play.

Their audibles didn't work to well on the play where Barber hurt his leg.
