1. Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants – Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX) Preview
Cowboys Cowboys
T-1st, NFC East
Record: 7-4 at Giants
T-1st, NFC East
Record: 7-4 Giants
Lately, the Giants have suffered from slow starts on offense. The biggest reason is because they haven't relied enough on a short passing attack to begin games and get quarterback Eli Manning into a rhythm. Throwing the ball on first down instead of an obvious passing situation would help out Manning and the offense.
Eli is going to be a great quarterback. He has made some exceptional plays as a second-year starter, but he's still only a kid. You still have to get him into the rhythm of the game and not put pressure on him early.
Prediction: Dallas. I just think the Cowboys are more consistent. The Giants may have more talent at the skill positions, but their inability to be consistent and sustain long drives will lead to a Dallas victory. I like the way the Cowboys' young defense has been coming together late in the season, too.
