Chris Collinsworth saying they need to move Dez around

Would be nice to see him in the slot or going in motion at times. This offense is so simplistic to guard against. I hate the two tight end personel groups also. The whopping 2-4 pass plays hoping our tight ends will break a tackle is hilarious. No defense will respect that.

It would be. With Miles a non-issue this season, it would give us some options. Harris, maybe, in the X?

TO was asked about the struggling JG offense when he was here. He basically kept his mouth shut at that time for PR reasons, but he did say to the effect you need to ask the coaches why they don't put me in the slot and use things like motion. This has been a problem for years, especially with our "X" receiver...

Been saying this for years. The offense went away from motion etc. in 2008. This is, and always has been, a Garrett problem.

They or one of them did? I'm not sure where anyone goes to school has anything to do with coaching skill. Do you? I don't see comments on where other coaches go to school.

Theyre all IVY league, thats why we let Ryan go.

What reason is that?

Pretty sure this guy has bashed Dez for a lack of brain mass in the past. The problem is that he proved today even in what appeared to be a improvised play that he can handle adjustments. Lord knows it's better than the status quo.

If I see one more crappy four yard out to Tony's seemingly genius bff I think I'm going to put my head through the drywall.

TO used to move around a lot, especially in the 2007 season.

Yeah, but that was with Sparano, but even then it wasn't a lot. It ended after that.. Claiming Dez can't do it is utter hogwash, because it's been an issue with TO, which was his strength. It doesn't happen with other WRs. And even the use of Beasley is rather late.

Yep, it took school yard improvisation to try to get Dez in a favorable match-up.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about that play this week. It was interesting that Tony did that on the fly. And it's curious that the team hadn't experimented with it before. I wonder if it's just something we tried on the spur of the moment, or something TR's been lobbying for in the background and he just decided to do it in the game.

I'm willing to bet that they use the same game plan every week. No urgency, no creativity, no emotion and as few passes as possible to the middle of the field.. It is easy for the defense to defend the passing game when they know that passes won't be coming to the middle of the field.

Is it me or does Harris just make plays? Do not know why he does not get his shot in the regular offense. Just gets a play or so here and there.

On the press conf, JG says he and Witt gets doubled so the answer is for other guys to get open.

How about scheming better to help your best players to get open.

There's a reason why Dez has primarily stayed in the X. It was interesting to see Tony move him, though, on the fly. I bet we start to see more of that coming out of the bye.

As usual, I bet we don't by JG's design but on the fly by Romo.

Move Dez around, have him line up in the slot and so forth to adjust to this coverage Dez is seeing... But what do the Garrett-bashes know about the incompetence of Garrett in not adjusting to the defense....

Gotta remember, this is Jerry's team. Dallas didn't move Mike Irvin around much, he played outside. So Dez has to play the same role b/c Jerry won a Super Bowl (XXX) with that philosophy.

He really deserves some snaps. Even if he's not showing it in practice, he deserves them. I think they like him best off the line in the slot, and the problem there is we've got Beasley and had Miles who were also most effective there. But you're right, the guy just makes plays, and we should find a way to get him more looks in the offense.

Difference is, Norv used Emmitt a lot with flare passes up the middle and Jay Novacek to attack. Plus, the bread and butter was play-action, forcing DB to play up. And Aikman was never in shotgun and got the ball out quickly. These incompetent clowns have our QrS run straight into double and triple coverage, without even forcing the safeties to cheat.

This offensive coaching staff lacks the ability to design effective plays in today's NFL. They do a poor job of working to a players talent and getting them in to positions to succeed.

Wait.. He just blamed Beasley and TWill now for his crappy offense... Miles Austin bailed him out in his break out KC game.. Problem is, you can't mask incompetence for long.

You can't push off now like Irvin did either.
