Punters rarely get appreciation. It's a double whammy because in British English the word "punter" means a man who sleeps with a prostitute. So Jones is long overdue for some appreciation. He's done a great job all year, and that was quite the heads up to recover Dooshon Jackson's fumble. Way to go, Chris Jones.

He didn't sleep with a prostitute but he was all over caressing that football.

Man, seems like he has improved his kicking since he got here.

Has played very well this year. Props to him for that heads up play on the fumble recovery.

He has played great all year.

I keep meaning to post a thread about how much I appreciate his punting and I never get to it. Kudos the OP for creating this appreciation thread.

Well..

for once the call went our way.

The replay was doubtful. I thought he was down before the fumble and like the rest of the calls all night..it was going to be overturned.

but yes on the recovery..he was right there.

could be the play that turns the season.

Now..GB.

That's going to be alot tougher than Washington playing in GB in December like it was last year..

Never understood the hate for jones here
Pretty solid punter who may not have the huge leg but is very good at pinning people and limiting returns

And at a time when neither team could score, but the Skins kept getting the ball around midfield and punting us deep after those turnovers...Jones made a difference...he sometimes took two possessions and punts to do it, but he continually flipped the field by out performing his counter-part.

It's funny, because I texted my dad last night, saying "Dan Bailey is Ice Cold. Chris Jones too!"

He's been a good punter, solid holder, and came up with a huge recovery. I was watching with my wife and yelled "Chris Jones!" Kinda how the rapper "Mike Jones" used to yell his own name.

Jones has had a very good year. He and Bailey should get game balls for sure.

That's what I enjoyed most about the victory. Jackson trying to think he was Deion (the punt coverage was horrendous, too) and then him fumbling the ball (it was a fumble Skins fan, the ground didn't cause the fumble. The back of his wrist hit the ground, not the ball) and our freaking punter recovers the fumble.

An awful game played by both teams that ends up in a ridiculous fashion for a ridiculous division.
