The Cowboys better not budge... They need to trade up and grab a A+ guy like P. Peterson.
I agree but I won't be shocked when we have yet another disappointing draft that doesn't help the team.

Pleaseeeeeeee don't get robbed blind Jerry...pleaaaaaaaaaaase

It's supposedly for their 1st and a high 2nd. Not bad normally but we need to draft a bluechipper.

They're not gonna fork over both of those in a ho-hum draft.
They offered 60 which isn't enough. They do have 33 though and that would be tempting if Castonzo is the target.

No way in hell they give up #33, because they'll be in a position to control the start of Day 2 if one of the QBs slides into that round.

They have the 33rd pick...if we don't walk away from this deal with the 17th and 33rd pick then we're idiots. The 60th pick is useless to us.

What do you think about this scenario:

Trade our 9, for 17 and 60, and we swap 40, for 33?

Could anybody live with that?

Maybe not but that is what I'd ask for if I was Jerry

Going from 9 to 17 is quite a free-fall. You can pretty much forget about Castonzo and possibly Pouncey if you do so. I'd demand #33 as part of the deal, but like i said, they're got gonna fork over that sweet plum.

I agree with this. The value is in the late 1st. I wouldn't budge unless NE gave us #33. We could draft a Cameron Heyward or a Danny Watkins with that pick. #60 has no value to us.

if they throw in their fourth, I'd take that deal

If we take the 17th and 33rd, we could do something like this:

17th:Costanzo
33rd: Cameron Heyward
40th: Wisnewski
71st: Quinton Carter or Rahim Moore

This will solidify our trenches for quite a whille, and allow us to take a flyer on a safety in the 3rd rd.

The 17th and 33rd should be enough to get them up to the sixth pick, so we might have to give something back to them -- such as our 71st pick and a late pick.

Based on the historical value chart, their 17th, 60th and 92nd picks together are worth about the same as our 9th pick -- 1,953 points to 1,942 points. If we did that, we could package our 40th pick and the Patriots' 60th pick to get up to the 26th pick (1,038 points to 1,037 points).

We would have started with 9, 40 and 71 in the first three rounds and ended up with 17, 26, 71 and 92.
