He got knocked out of the bowl game today against Georgia with what was determined to be a minor shoulder strain.

Declared for NFL after the game.

Hack's been a disappointment, that goes without saying, but how much of it is on him and how much of it is on James Franklin?

I was just reading an article about how he thanked everyone when he declared with thd exception of Franklin. If there is bad blood towards Franklin on Hack's part, is it justified? Is it fair to say that Franklin did a poor job developing him under his watch? Is it fair to say that he not only did a poor job putting players around him, but nearly got him killed with the oline he put together?

I realize Hack deserves blame for his failures, but so should Franklin imo. Hack's play on the field is night and day when compared between O'Brien and Franklin's watch.

Houston seems like the most obvious team to draft him, but I wouldn't be surprised if a team like St Louis or Denver made a move for him.

Great Freshman year that made everyone think he would take the next step and eventually develop into a top pick. Never happened. Has skills but has been hit so much that he flinches when pressured. I don't know how to Un-do that. Someone will take this kid higher than they need to based on unrealized potential.

Seems like he has been beaten into a pulp at Penn State and will spit the bit in a heartbeat. Lots of tools to work with, but once you start flinching in the NFL its bad news.

I've watched almost every Penn State game...id love to see this "flinching" Hackengerg does. Because I saw a kid that took an absolute beating the past 2 years and kept getting up.

A lot to work on no doubt, getting the ball out faster definitely being 1, but so much to like also. Franklin tried to fit a square leg in a round hole with Hackengerg in that offense. Really hurt his draft stock

He doesn't need to be taken in the first round, for his sake, his career's sake and his team. Maybe in the third. He needs to sit a few years on the bench and learn playing quarterback in the NFL.
The worst thing a team could do (Houston) is to draft him in the first or second round and pen unrealistic expectations on his shoulders with fans clamoring for him to start at the first sign of trouble or a team's season going south.

He is already shell shocked. Why anyone would take a mentally weak and damaged QB with huge mechanical concerns as well is beyond me.

I wouldn't take him in a premium round. Absolutely not.
