I don't expect the Cowboys with Garrett as HC to draft any players with character issues in the top 3 rounds; however, I'm not certain if they would consider it in later rounds. Especially if the character issues are borderline.

So true....unless the guy has a felony or has a drug problem (several failed drug tests) he should absolutely be considered. Talent wins football games, not high character. This franchise wouldn't have many super bowl victories if character was such a big deal in the late 80's/early 90's.

The nineties Super Bowl teams could take chances on character guys because they had Jimmy Johnson as the HC. Michael Irvin has said that he was intimidated by Jimmy.

A team with a 1st time head coach at any level (Garrett) is much more vulnerable to bad character guys than a team coached by Jimmy, Belichick, etc..

This is my pet cat, he and Summerlin didn't get along. His issues seem to be related to not showing up for meetings on time. I don't dismiss that but it's not something I'd not take him for.... I actually thing Murray and he run alot like each other. The problem is I think he goes in the 2nd or early 3rd he's that good.

I'm not big on Michael. He has a rare combination of skills, but his personality doesn't scream team player to me.

Then again, it's simply my opinion.

No, thanks. Though RKG for some reason gets translated as 'choir boy,' when I don't think that's really what it means. We want smart players to whom football is important and who don't have dependency issues. Pretty hard to argue convincingly against that.

Besides, I thought the reason we've been watching the playoffs for the last three years is that we don't have any offensive guards and our head coach can't 'call plays'?
