Christmas Eve

I don't know about you guys... but for me, this is Christmas Eve. Tonight is the Adult Football fan's version of Christmas Eve. We want our presents. And we want them now!

More than any game during the upcoming season, more than any potential or past playoff game, we have one day a year where we get to dream about selections that can shape our football team for the future.

To quote Eminem... If you only had one shot...

We, as Brothers and Sisters, live and die by what is out of our hands. We offer our opinions, we quote, we debate, we argue and sympathize with one another according to how we feel our team should be shaped. We do this because we are insanely passionate about our sport and our Team.

We rely on Ownership; who has failed us in the past, but who has shown us reflections of sanity and resolve in the recent present. We are helpless yet deliberate. We are hopeful yet skeptical. We are knowledgeable yet incapacitated.

I hope.. I pray...

I imagine...

If you're like me, you're sick of reading all of the possibilities. We all have our thoughts and crazy ideas. What if this happens? What if that? And that's ok.

One thing I can assure you Fam, is this... We are going to come out of this Draft with at least 3 - 4 excellent Football players that will help our team during the Romo Era and beyond.

All of us will not be happy. This board will blow up over the weekend.. But I think we can all agree, we are about to add some excellent Football players to our team.. We will not whiff. And regardless of which way we go, whether it be Zeke or Ramsey, you can't argue that one side of the ball is going to be much better than it was yesterday...

To me this is more like Thanksgiving... tomorrow we will get all of our presents, but will won't be able to see them again for a while lol. Though I would suggest not freaking out about our picks tomorrow, or even more so Friday. It seems like everytime we freak out about our picks, we end up being wrong (Hitchens and Fredbeard come immediately to mind here)... wait... maybe that means we should freak out more.

I've gotta go back on this one... How did we screw up? Because the Rams and Eagles moved up in front of us? Because we stood pat? Just because the two (unproven) QBs are realistically out of our reach doesn't mean we're not gonna improve our football team.. If.. (and a big "if") Romo survives the season and a Zeke or a Ramsey live up to their reputation you and I will be thanking our lucky stars..

I'm still hoping for a monster trade down.. Grab our QB next year and take advantage of the 2nd & 3rd round depth.

Eh... Regardless of what you or I think, it's out of our hands and won't be written until this weekend.

I'm no expert. Neither are you. But it won't kill you to go into it with a positive frame of mind.

Come on Ris.. You know as well as I no draft pick is a certainty. We just have to wait and see. Trading up from 4 would be a major blunder IMO. This is a big chance for us to either fill major holes or solidify our defensive backfield or run game. Possibly both. Not for me to say cause I'm not you but how can you call this draft a failure before it plays out. Doesn't make any sense to me. I agree with you on a lot of things but this isn't one of them. We just have to wait and see.

I tend to agree with Risen.? Ikeep things realistic . I have no expectations whatsoever . I really don't care for any of the players with the 4th pick:
