Hutch

Jerry's answer to replacing Aikman. Then finally stumbling on an undrafted free agent, who keeps reminding us why he was an undrafted free agent. Poor Jerry, I guess anyone can have an off-decade.

None of these three were bad options. All had solid potential. Q could still be in the league if he didn't have problems. Henson and Hutch couldn't come back from missing time but both were acquisitions. Longshots, sure, but not things a team should regret.

Maybe it's just me, but I would rather not rest our all our hopes, especially at the most critical position on the team with "longshots". The point is, it's been nearly a decade since Aikman retired and just about all our QB search brought us was former baseball players, undrafted free agents and one 2nd rounder who was a major reach. And even though I appreciate Parcells bringing us out of the mire, my biggest complaint with him was wasting so much time with over the hill retreads. Initially we had no other option, but we never made any moves over those 4 years to improve that position, until we happened to come up with Romo - who was undrafted and basically on the team since he went to Sean Payton's alma mater.

Nothing beats that picture of Carter the day he was cut. Classic. Better than any other picture.

Hutch is probably glad he isn't here anymore. What ever he is doing nowadays is probably well paying and not near as stressful.

Carter, well if anyone can find him...I think he was living here:

Probably Henson

No. It's Clint Stoerner. That pic is in the Alamodome training camp in 2003, the year before we got Henson.

Also, Hutchinson and Henson never went to training camp together. Hutch was released before camp started Henson's first year.
