There is a Winston Churchill quote that I love and, at least in a roundabout way, reminds me of where we are right now with Garrett as a head coach.

After the allies drove the Germans out of North Africa and Italy (I think it was after Italy) Churchill said (paraphrasing) "This is not the end. This is not even the beginning of the end. However, it may be the end of the beginning.)

I think we've arrived at the end of the beginning of Jason's rebuilding of the Cowboys and setting a direction for them. There is still a lot to do, but at least we've made a start in the right direction.

At the risk of being labeled a blind homer (oh wait, to late!!!), I think you are correct!!!!!!!

Cannot wait for the training camp to start!!!!!!

I love military quotes and I am huge fan of Lombardi as well. Anyhow, here is one by Patton...it MAY sound familiar to those that followed Jimmy Johnson back in 1989...

"If you are going to win any battle, you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do... the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."
-General George S. Patton"

I love it. Michael Irvin must have been paying attention, because that's essentially what he told the contestants on 4th an long.

George S. Patton wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he had an uncanny knack for leadership and tactics.

I would compare Jason Garrett more favorably to GEN Dwight Eisenhower.

Great Jimmy quote. They show that on NFLN pretty frequently.
