No actually, it's not a smart move. It's a gamble that might pay off, if he can produce. So far this season he hasn't, with 2.9 yards a carry & no TD's. He may be good coverage if Benson goes down, but I can really see him doing as much as Shawn Alexander last year.

Johnson is insurance for Benson, who's kind of banged up and has had a lot of carries so far this year.

Also, by signing Johnson, the Bengals have insured that no other team can sign him.

yes "So stupid" for jacking with their chemistry. they were on a roll, even with the injuries.....and they go and sign a 6ft tall tumor....and what did it get them, a loss.

meanwhile, since the chiefs got rid of said tumor, they are 2-0.

coincidence......maybe, but I think not.
