Cisneros lobbies Cowboys' Jones to extend camp lease

Former mayor Henry Cisneros visited the Alamodome on Monday to encourage Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to continue holding training camp in San Antonio well into this decade.
The Cowboys and the city held discussions last week about extending the team’s five-year lease agreement at the Alamodome, which expires after the 2011 camp.
“They like the facility,” Cisneros said. “(Jones) said it looks exceedingly clean and well kept, and that’s good. Until the day San Antonio has its own (NFL) team, which I continue to pray for, the Dallas Cowboys are our team too....
