I knew eventually these scandals would touch us. We're the Dallas Cowboys. I'm just thankful it's nobody important. Hate to say it like that. Do the right thing, cut him and move on.

The alleged attack occurred at the team’s hotel on Sept. 20. Spillman, was then allowed to play the next day.

Police in Grapevine, Texas, told the Daily News that C.J. Spillman, 28, is “involved” in the investigation of a sexual assault that allegedly took place at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, the Cowboys’ official hotel since 2009,

“We have a sexual assault report we are investigating at this time, and it does involve C.J. Spillman,” said Sgt. Robert Eberling, a police spokesman. “He is involved in the investigation. We are looking into the matter.”

Garrett told Cowboys players if they’re involved in a case of domestic violence they won’t be allowed to play in games, regardless of due process.

“Part of what our jobs are as coaches is to create the right environment for our players to function both on and off the field,” Garrett said. “So we need to be clear about where we are. We need to be clear that we have a structure in place to help anybody who has any off-the-field issues.

“Me as a coach, position coaches, player programs, departments, we have a lot of resources here to help guys. So that was the first message, if you’re dealing with anything off the field and we can help with, we’re here for you. Having said that, there are standards that we have about all off-the-field behavior and certainly domestic violence applies to that. We’re just very clear with how we’re going to handle things.”

Didn't Stephen say just yesterday that there would be an absolute zero-tolerance policy on this kind of thing and no waiting for the due process?

Jason Garrett kind of guys are meeting the team policy area now, and inevitable on all teams...good show, Jason.

Did anyone see that lady after she shaved?

Whos CJ Spillman. Is he really on the Cowboys. Cant say I ever heard of him before.

Man, why would an NFL player put him self in a position where it could even come up?

Fitzsimmons is wrong when it comes to what game. If it happened on the 20th, it would have been before the STL game, not SF.

Something is wrong with those dates. Unless I'm reading it very wrong, the police said it happened at the Gaylord Texan, the hotel the team stays at for home games. So that had to be the opening day SF game on the 7th.

Maybe the report was filed on the 20th?

Oh I get it... They were staying there Friday night before they flew out.
