while i'm glad FA is kicking in and we can start to see some *real* moves, it only escalates the ... "questionable" ones also.

NFLN just had a convo about this. Marshall Faulk said:"IF you pair Chris Johnson with DeMarco Murray in the backfield with Romo and his playmaking ability and Dez Bryant that is a dangerous offense. They went young on the offensive line and they played well. If dallas adds a player like Chris Johnson.... I dont usually think you take less money to play on a bad team, but with a potential offense like Dallas, this is the exception"

id try to sign him as a #2...he's still got some ridiculous speed. good backup for when murray takes his usual couple of games off

All depends on the price. He has been durable for his size and would make a scary backfield with Murray. Though still have no idea if Garrett and linehan will even want to run the ball.

If the season started tomorrow our defensive line would be George Selvie, Tyrone Crawford, Nick Hayden, and Ben Bass and Dallas would pay $6 million for a running back?

I would think not.

No! He isn't the player he used to be. Go to their site and read what the fans say about him.

if he was an affordable piece with an ego that could handle a backup position... sure, because he still has speed...

but he's not affordable, and his ego won't allow him to be a backup......so.........

That was an idea that surely wasn't properly thought out by those doing the BSing! While the thought of inserting Chris Johnson into our sometimes stale offense seems appealing on the surface, the thought of ignoring our defense monetarily while making that same addition also seems criminally insane. The defense needs to be served first and foremost before making any costly moves like that.

Word is Tenn is shopping him for a 5 or 6

So far all they have heard back is crickets.

Nobody is going to touch that $8 mill a year contract, especially us.
