Yes. There's no way the Cowboys are paying him his current salary this year.

Doug Free = Eric Winston

If Free takes a paycut, he is the backup swing tackle. If he doesn't, he's cut and Winston will be brought in to do the same.

I think they intend on starting Parnell now with Clabo gone.

And I hope they go ahead and sign Brandon Moore now to play guard.

there is a 0% chance Winston is brought in to be a swing tackle. He will atleast pick a situation where he has a chance to compete, and if we've made up our minds, he won't come here.

I think it's more likely we bring in a guy like Justice to be the swing tackle as opposed to Winston.

No way that he stays on the team if he doesn't take a big paycut.

I think the Cowboys will have Free and PArnell fight it out for the starting job. Or they might just rotate them. But only if Free shows improvement from last year during camp. If not I could see them cutting him just before week 1, starting the season with Parnell, and signing a free agent after week1 on a non-guaranteed deal.

My prediction: if Winston and Justice are still on the market by the last week in May, Free will agree to a pay cut. If one is signed and the other is still on the market, Free will have a difficult decision. If both Winston and Justice are signed by the last week in May, Free will be released -- and maybe re-signed by the Cowboys for less than the offered pay cut price.

Hard to say. I think a lot more teams see him as a backup at this point than they do a starter.

Then again, it only takes one team. Anybody off the top of your head with an obvious starting OT position up for grabs?

Hard to believe that we could not have been in the game in signing Clabo. Apparently, he signed a 1 year deal for 3.5 Million with 1.5 Guaranteed. We could have almost freed up enough cap to accomplish that by making Free a June 1 cut. Wow!

Seems like this was a doable deal for us. IDK.
