Clowney is an example of the risk. Khalil Mack went #4 in 2014 he's had 14 sacks this season including 5 last week. There was a debate and some thought he was better than Clowney he's certainly looked better so far. Having a top 10 pick puts you at risk to end up with a huge bust that can really set your franchise back. I wouldn't be opposed to trading out of the top 10 and picking up an extra #2. Checkout the drafts over the years you'll be amazed how many top 10 picks went bust or become just average players. As you look through those drafts you'll see some players who become great players who were taken later in the first round into the second round.
I would not be opposed to a trade down, if used correctly.
If we can get an extra 2nd. And 3rd or 4th, I am all for it.
As long as we come come out of it with one of the top 5 QBs, as well as a RB. In the first 2 rounds. My preference for now. Who knows, by draft day, I may think differently.
But if we have a solid draft from it, I won't sit here and whine we didn't get a QB, depending on who we selected, if they can make an Impact right away.
If not, then might as well, taken the QB, if a player is to sit and learn.
And in the later rounds....no injured prospects....lol....
