Unfortunately for Wilcox, closer to the line you pay even more for missteps and offenses are designed to attack those false steps. That is his problem. Marinelli likes to run line slants and stunts and all kinds of stuff even if he doesn't blitz. We slant a whole heck of a lot and when one DE crashes in like that you need someone to set that edge. In a lot of looks that is the SS and he sucks at it. He is too easily baited and takes way too many bad steps. When it's a counter you're screwed. Out in space he can run around and try to recover a bit.

I'm not giving up on him but his NFL clock is ticking.

It was obvious Tampa Bay chose to attack him with a rookie QB.....scheme or whatever.....Mo was getting attacked for a reason.

Most disheartening....the only challenge to that attack was "My hamstring is tight".

Eventually I think that is where he ends up at. And believe that is the plan all along. Both Garrett and Stephen Jones eluded to this shortly after the draft.
But when Scandrick went down, and Corey White dinged up now. and now with Mo. That looks to be on hold until next year. Which if all those were healthy, it still may have waited until next year.
