Claiborne is by far our best corner

And in his rear-view mirror is Mike Jenkins. I'm really down on B.Carr, Idk what's up with him, he is no where near the money and hype we gave him. Mo.Clai is a beast and is only in his rookie year. I'm very optimistic and excited to see his future unfold!

He is having a good year for a rookie. I believe QBs have 100+ QB rating against him so far so he still has a long ways to go, but he has all the tools.

I think you could definitely make a legit argument for Claibourne being our best corner, but you can also do the same for Carr and Jenkins. I don't think either of the three are that much better than each other individually at this point in time. I do believe eventually that Claibourne will eventually distance himself from not only Carr and Jenkins, but alot of other corners in the league.

No he's not....not at all. And that is in no way shape or form a bad thing

1st post is full of overreaction.

I like what mo's been doing and is only gonna get better.

And I think Carr isn't being used properly by the defensive mastermind.

I do believe Mo is our best cb already but it sure isn't by far. I also believe lots of folks are being to critical of Carr he is darn good but some had unrealistic expectations of him due to the huge contract he received.

Reading some of the posts on this site, you would think Romo should never miss a open receiver and Carr should never give up a pass completion.Get real every QB will throw some incompletions every DB gives up completions.

I'm just shocked it took until week 8 to get the first real I'm-not-thrilled-with-Brandon-Carr thread. Even one disguised as a pro-Claiborne thread.

I think B. Carr is playing pretty well as is the secondary as a whole... The secondary will get more INT's eventually.

I just ask you folks to remember Terrence Newman last year n thank your lucky stars for both of our starters.

Before the end of the season, more than one poster is going to say that Carr hasn't been as good a value as Terrence Newman was. If you don't believe me, look at the skid marks in the Fan Zone in the Phil Costa threads after the BAL game.

I just don't get how people come to this conclusion when Brandon Carr has been facing the opposing teams #1 receiver while Claiborne who i'm LOVING right now is facing the Torrey Smith's and Lafell's of the world. I'm just shocked that anyone has anything to say about the secondary at ALL. They've done their job. The turnovers and deflections aren't there....YET. Be patient. If by the end of the season they are still not there then you'll have a point.

Mo is a good corner. He isn’t a shutdown corner but he is good. I think Carr is better. I do not agree that Mo is the best corner on the team.

You do realize that Carr is assigned to opposing teams #1 WR's right?

That's like saying Cromartie is better than Revis because Cromartie shut down David Nelson but Revis gave up a touchdown to Stevie Johnson.

Carr gets each team's best receiver every week and hes shut down some really good guys. Not worried about him at all.

But I can't truly evaluate this secondary until this defense starts to consistently generate some pressure on the QB.

As far as Jenkins is concerned I'm not sure whats going on, he's proven to be an elite level corner. Don't know if team is pulling a New England and just big league-ing the heck outta him. Driving down his stock by not giving him an opportunity to play. Which wouldn't make much sense because I doubt Dallas re-signs him, they've got Carr, Clai, and Scandrick tied up for the next 4 years.

If anything you'd want to drive his stock up and hope some team gets desperate and throws you some picks for a guy you're going to lose at the end of the season anyway. But I don't know the details, he may not be 100% from the shoulder and the team wants to save him for the stretch.

Who knows, either way he's not gonna be a Cowboy next year so you might as well get every bit out of him that you can.

Not sure why hate for Carr. He hasn't been outstanding and made game changing plays. However, he is hardly the problem. Mo is fine for a rookie, he gets beat but comes back strong. He will be a decent corner in a couple years.
