IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne had surgery on his left knee on Tuesday but the team has yet to replace him on the 53-man roster. Claiborne suffered a torn patellar tendon in last week’s win against the New Orleans Saints and is out for the season. The Cowboys, however, have yet to officially place him on injured reserve. The Cowboys could look call up linebacker Keith Smith from the practice squad for the second time in three weeks with Bruce Carter out of Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans with a quadriceps injury.Continue reading...
