IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne had surgery on his left knee on Tuesday but the team has yet to replace him on the 53-man roster. Claiborne suffered a torn patellar tendon in last week’s win against the New Orleans Saints and is out for the season. The Cowboys, however, have yet to officially place him on injured reserve. The Cowboys could look call up linebacker Keith Smith from the practice squad for the second time in three weeks with Bruce Carter out of Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans with a quadriceps injury.

Could he cover the deductible, or did he drop his credit card while swiping it?

I feel bad for the guy. Hope things turn around for him eventually. Whether it's in Dallas, or somewhere else.

It won't be here. By seasons end, Garrett and Jerry will realize that Moore is the Better CB.

It sucks, but he will lose his job due to Injury. Which is good for us.

Scandrick, Moore, and maybe if we still keep Carr, he will be the 4th CB. Regardless he will always be a number 3 behind Scandrick and Moore.

He will cry and pout, then maybe ask to get released or traded, or we will just cut him before anything.

Moore's a FA, right? And Carr's got another cliff coming up on his contract. I think chances are very good that Mo's here again next year, when the balance on his rookie contract is still affordable for a guy who can give you starter's snaps. We'll have to see what happens after that. You never know. They could trade him, I guess, for somebody else's problem child. But that means solidifying the two open CB spots we'll have at season's end, first.

Lock up Moore to a real friendly contract. (Unless he starts to come out and show flashes of Alan Ball)

Then draft two or 3 Corners, with upside and talent in the middle to late rounds(Go after D-line, and Safety, Early, maybe even a LB)

With Scandrick proven to be better than any corner we have had since Newman in his Prime. We can put some average to above average guys around him. Just get some Front 7 help, and 1 true Ball Hawking, long ranging Safety.

MO will want to start, and he already has shown to be almost worst than Reeves/Ball. He might actually be worst. No thank you to that guy.

First off, I have crucified Mo verbally watching games, but he isn't going anywhere next year. After that, who knows, but he will be wearing the star next summer. If Matt Johnson gets a pass for how many injuries, Mo can certainly finish out his rookie contract in an effort to get better. Get well Mo.

Heal up Mo and come back next year ready to compete. He will be here next year, his contract is guaranteed for next year so no reason for him not to be here.

What does this have to do with Toomer?

Toomer is on the 53 but has been inactive.

Presumably, with them bringing Keith Smith up from the PS, he will be active.

With Carter being the only LB that is out, that would indicate that Toomer is likely to be inactive again.

Having said all of that, Toomer did have an injury issue when the Cowboys signed him and Keith Smith has been with the team for the during of the off-season, training camp and regular season which probably has him ahead of Toomer in knowledge of the scheme.

So who are the active DBs for the game?
