I don't know how to answer this. It's hard to predict the future. He's going to have to show something the rest of this year and the next. Right now his 2nd contract is zero.

I predict he doesn't get a 2nd contract from the jags.

Probably sign him. He has improved alot this year. Washington game ending INT and the 4 fumbles aren't good, but he has had some very strong play. By the time year 4 rolls around I think it will be a no brainer

One of the best QB prospects ever...hasnt won a Super Bowl yet...hasnt done much of anything yet...

How much leverage does a guy like this and his agent have on his next contract assuming his production stays about the same and his team isnt winning?

What dollar figure would you put on his contract if you had to sign a second contract?

The ultimate goal of this thread is showing how tough the job is of Front Offices. They pretty much have to sign guys on hope...pay market rates on hope or let guys walk to a possible division rival. You almost have to give these guys the money or play crap shoot in the draft which could take years.

If I can sign him for only 20 mil, that's a no brainer.

Lawrence has shown the signs of being a viable top 15 starter. Pretty sure he will be.

The 20M figure was a joke...suggesting you could sign him for that cheap.

Andrew Luck was an absolute stud who drug craptastic Colts teams to the playoffs. Even made champ game, I think. Dude was everything expected of him, except he couldn't stay on the field. At least part of that was going to a crapp org who couldn't put a team around him.

You only use WL record to evaluate a prospect 4 games into his 2nd season? Not very accurate.

Trevor has shown signs, but hasn't put it together yet. His team was terrible last year, but his surrounding cast is improving every year. His development is going to be very interesting to observe for the next couple.

The 2nd contract depends specifically on his 3rd year when he can be eligible for an extension. If he shows progress by then, big contract. If not, he has year 4 and 5, and then a franchise tag to prove something.
