Alright, alright. I’ll accept the hire if, during his opening press conference, he says, “There’s a gleam, gentlemen. A gleam.”

HAHAHAHA
WHAT AN EMBARRASSING FRANCHISE.
:hammer: ....The fact new names keep cropping up...just makes the situation look like they have no idea where to turn....which isn't a good look for the franchise. This honestly feels like this is turning into the Cleveland Browns QB search....going through 40 players this century....and still are searching for the right guy.

LOL that’s even better. Take another two weeks into the off season before you decide on a mediocre hire.
Does it really matter which report is correct?

since Sunday night when there was a little bit of smoke about Schottenheimer there's already been 7 threads talking about him ,
so, what's the difference if he's hired now?? We've already heard from everyone but guess what we'll hear from the same people all over again saying the same exact things the redundancy around here is a giant migraine most days.

I mean ,

we've literally heard all the complaining and the venting about schottenheimer, but to me I don't see a big difference between him and Mike McCarthy that may be the downside is there's not going to be an improvement, but I remember everyone having this kind of reaction when Mike McCarthy was hired and Mike McCarthy was the best coaching hire of 2020 all the other teams in the cycle who hired someone else they were complete failures... So even in that instance if we wait and give it some time ,maybe it's not as bad as we're all thinking, and I'm not on board with this hire but we have no choice.

Apparently the players and the front office like him. they they have a good rapport. He probably runs a very similar offense that Mike McCarthy runs, it won't be the exact, and maybe that's a good thing, but if we go back to the three best years of Schottenheimer when he was with Seattle and Russell Wilson Russell Wilson and I've already reported this people keep saying it wasn't a good offense three years in a row; he had over 65% completion percentage he had 31 touchdowns, 35 touchdowns ,and 40 touchdowns those three years.. they also ran the ball effectively , so right now can you say that Prescott and whoever I hope is an upgrade at running back, maybe look familiar that Schottenheimer might be able to at least keep them on track where it doesn't get worse than what we had I mean that is the downside it's not going to get better, but I don't know if this is going to be worse than Mike McCarthy's tenure....

I mean the only thing we could do is we may not like it we just have to accept it and just hope for the best I hope that free agency in the draft we get enough players to improve besides getting all the ones back from injury maybe Schottenheimer won't wait a half a year to use his weapons like Turpin and the run game like we didn't use Rico until like 8-9 weeks in as the primary starter maybe just maybe and I'm just hypothetical that this doesn't get worse that it may just stay the course and I hate that that's probably what Jerry's thinking...
However, right now it says there's conflicting information that doesn't mean they're right or the people saying it's imminent are correct because either way we're probably not gonna be happy...

It's awesome when Facebook shows a pic of this guy and this is the heading.

11 of 14 years as a offensive coordinator, Brian Schottenheimer offenses have been no better than the bottom half of the NFL.
There are six known candidates for the Cowboys job and four of them are candidates for zero other job. Brian Schottenheimer is one of them.
Jerry likes his pet projects.

Just an awful and uninspiring hiring decision. My only hope is Brian is a better head coach than coordinator and brings accountability. He needs some excellent coordinators that make up for his subpar play calling and game planning though for any chance at success.

At face value this makes me care less about this franchise. Hope I'm proven wrong.

5-12 coming up.
Probably worse. 4 losses between the eagles and commanders. Losses to Packers, chiefs, chargers, and Vikings at home, possibly to the cards as well.

Losses to the broncos, Lions, and bears at home. That's 11 losses there and I'm sure they could lose to the jets or Panthers as well.

Jerry knows exactly what he's doing.

Witten will be the OC and within the year Schotty will be fired and replaced with Witten, and Jerry thinks us fans will be so happy for a legend like JW we'll be chanting his name on Sundays.

He wants his own Dan Campbell, but will fail miserably like he always does.

"I want to say something that I wanted to say all year. Are you having fun now, Jerry? WE DID IT OUR WAY, BABY! WE DID IT! WE DID IT! WE DID IT!" - Brian Schottenheimer, February 2026

Then he gets off the drunken coed, and gives Jerry another turn?
