Clarence Hill: Cowboys working on Elam, Pool

Good to hear.

Pool best fit with Sensi? I'm fine with adding either or both. :D

I really miss the days where all the info was posted in each thread and I didn't have to click links to deal with ad's, pop up's and the many annoyances just to read two paragraphs. :\

I didn't know people still used the internet without Adblock or some equivalent.

I would love to get both of them..sounds like it's one or the other

Wow great reporting. Telling us something that we knew from day one of free agency

Enough playing around!

Elam and Rosenhaus need to realize what the reality of the situation is and stop trying to overprice him.

The money and the jobs have dried up.

Would Ryan and the Cowboys love to have him? You bet! He has experience in the system.

Do they want him enough to overpay when nobody else is throwing money at him?

No.

And they're taking a big gamble that if the Cowboys stop calling him, nobody else will either and he'll be on the outside looking in.

They turn around and sign Pool, and next week Elam will be calling and begging for a vet minimum deal because nobody else wants him.

unfortunatly when your sitting a school computer those Adblock features aren't avaiable. and I don't have time to find a quality one for my phone.

Good, I would rather have Pool, but if it is Elam and his familiarity with Ryan scheme, I can see that too.

Pool has also played in the Ryan scheme the last 2 years ('09 with Rob & '10 with Rex)

Either Pool or Elam should prove helpful, especially as compared to what we got (or didn't get) from Ball last season. That, in itself, should turn out to be pretty significant.

I think that is why it was good to sign Sensy for the deal they did, kind of helps to set the market and it aint $5M a year.

Triple Yuck? If it came down to that, I'd just say play AOA.

Fact of the matter is that all the options left to us suck, we are just trying to pick the one that sucks the least.

Give me a break with this crap. Who the heck did you want Ed Reed or something. The best available safeties out there were Quentin Mikell, Michael Huff, Donte Whitner, Dawan Landry, Melvin Bullitt, and Danieal Manning. Are these guys so much better than Sensy, Elam, Goldson. I'll answer for you NO. Just like the rest of the team can we WAIT and SEE what they guys do during the season.

That's just your opinion. Hardly anyone in their right minds would have approved Weddle at 8 million a year. Huff was overrated, our staff evaluated him and wasn't interested.

I had a thread before the start of FA predicting Pool and Elam as the starting safeties-but of course I predicted an upgrade to Newman along with that. That's still a possibility or at least we have (and have had) those options. So "suck" is particularly subjective in this case.
