Thanks for nitpicking:D

There is always one in every thread isn't there. No harm done (thanks for clarifying Superpunk)

You get the point I was trying to make. Maybe it even strengthens it... They paid for a number three wideout/kick returner when they were already ranked third in the return stats.

I was trying to strengthen your original statement that they overpaid for Welker. So :p.

Davis is a big guard or right tackle. At LT he looked slow and sluggish much like Flozell. That happens when those 340+ pounders are asked to block 260 pound ends and OLBs.

Give a guy that size an area to protect tho and he can protect it.

I love all the talking him down though. Wish I worked at Valley Ranch to tape it to his locker for motivation. Actually, Knowing Coach Joe(the weight-lifting coach) I am sure he already has.

And Wes Welker was the Dolphins most effective and thus best WR last season. He runs great routes and catches everything. He is a possession type but the Dolphins were plagued by drops and bad routes last season.

Texas Tech runs a lot of what the Pats do with their WRs and Welker is a better bet to excel long term in NE than Randy Moss imho.

That scout needs to be fired. (So far Davis has come across as being very motivated, he came to workouts a week early and attented every OTA.) This guy is dominant in the running game.

It will be interesting to see how Davis plays this year next to Columbo. But I know one thing for sure, he will be a huge upgrade from Rivera and his bad back.

The interior of the line should get a better push and hopefully we won't see backs getting hit in the backfield so often. Rivera just didn't have the strength to hold the point of attack and was too often pushed back into the pocket, keeping Romo from being able to step up and avoid the outside rush.

I was so glad we kept Columbo this year, I love his nasty streak and hopefully he and Davis will be able to wear down D-Lines and open up some room for Julius and MB3 on the right side.

Oh boy here we go with the scouts spouting off at the mouth....

Leonard Davis will go to the Pro Bowl in 2007, book it!

Is it just me or Did NE overpay for Wes Welker? I mean he was the leading reciever for Miami, but they SUCk, and it is not like he is going to be catching so many balls in NE with Randy Moss and Donte Stallworth and Ben Watson. Heck, Welker may be the fifth option on the team if Laurence Maroney comes back from that knee injury since he is such a good reciever out of the backfield. I think he is a good player but the overpaid for Welker.

Maybe it's just me, but New England's FO may have a clue...You think?
