class action suit against Goodell?

I'm down for lighting some poop on his front porch. Anyone got an address?

you know, when I was eight I wanted to start a petition to send to the league office about poor officiating in one of our games.

your idea seems about as mature

Make sure you put it in a paper bag with some fuel and don't forget to ring the doorbell before you go hide. :laugh2:

More mismanagement from our front office and it's the league's fault.

I always forget about the doorbell. Really ruins its effectiveness!

Not suggesting it actually be done. Just curious. Season ticket holders, you might argue, have a contract with cowboys and therefore with NFL. Doesn't seem completely nuts to say they are an injured party.

Our front office not understanding what the rules are isn't the league's problem. It's ours.

Yeahhh. It wasn't against the rules. Did you get that memo?

I do love me some cowboys, but I got a yard to mow . ..:D

The curious part is that everyone else must have suspected that it violated the spirit of the rules and could be a problem...there is no other reason why the others didn't do it...you can bet they all would have done it in some way.

We threw the dice and lost; make no mistake. It will hurt, but it won't crush us.

It's a bigger deal for the Skins because they gave up all those first round picks thinking They had plenty to supplement through free agency.

I guess the obvious problem even if they could would be that you're suing the 32 owners and not Gooddell because he works for them.

This punishment is being handed down from the other 30 even though some, and likely many were right there with the two guilty parties.

So I'm still unclear cause I haven't had any time to look it up but was this an actual rule or just something that people behind the scenes wanted followed, without an actual rule, and now they're punishing a couple of teams for not just doing what they wanted without rules in place?

From these threads it appears that there was no actual rules violated only some behind the scenes thing that some people wanted to see done but didn't have a rule in place. So I'm unsure how you can punish someone for that.

I mean at my job if we want people to not do something we can't say "Well we don't want you do this, even though it's not against the rules, we just don't like it so don't do it." and actually expect everyone to just do it.

So could someone shed some clarity on this for a dummy like myself. It would be greatly appreciated.

Could fans sue Goodell? Seek injunction?

No. I'm not sure how you'd even get the idea that they could or that enough fans would want to put forth the effort and money to do so.

Can you file a lawsuit? Sure.

Can you prevail on one? No.

It will get thrown out within 3 months of filing.

3 months? That long? No standing.
