Clements deal hurts our free agency

Instead of focusing on getting the player or players in free agency signed, you just know Jerry is now wondering how the heck he is going to get a deal done for Newman. 20 million to sign Newman along with getting burned with last years bad signings means picking from the bottom of the barrel June 1 cuts. May not be a bad thing but it does mean we don't have much of a chip in this game. For me, I'm good wtih that. I would like to see Leonard Davis or Columbo signed so we have some flexibility with who we want to draft. My 2 cents and probably not even worth that!!

We can always not pay him (since we can't dare spend that type of money) and we can pick up some middle tier cheap corner, and we can get back to allowing record amounts of yards to opponents. [sarcasm off]

Jerry looking real smart on Andre Gurode deal, but what the hey....cant they negotiate with 2 guys at once...........seems to me Columbo never should have got there...........

agreed, we need to at least ink Davis for RG, Gonna end up having to trust BP's judgement on one of the youngsters, or Fabini until McQ is ready full time.............its a chess game, only we dont know the internal thoughts on all the pawns.......
