Recently I have heard some draft guys speculating that these guys can be good players that will be available later in the draft.

I have to be honest and Say I really do not know much about either other then their positions (QB & NT).

Does anyone have the scoop on either of these two guys.

What rounds are they expected to go in, are they quality players and so on.

I dont know much about Clemens but Oshinowo looks like a decent NT prospect.

He should go in the 3rd.

He looked pretty good at the combine. Not too bright from what I hear but impressed in his interviews.

6'2", 302

2005 54 tkl 10.5 tfl 4.5 sacks
2004 41 tkl 5.5 tfl 3.5 sacks
2003 25 tkl 8 tfl 4 sacks

Kellen Clemons is the second coming of Roger Staubach.

He can run as well as he throws.

At least that is what this person on the Ducks Message Board told me.

Hope this helps.

He is working on his master's in Electrical Engineering. He isn't dumb.

2 time First Team Academic All-Pac 10.

This is Stanford as well, not Ohio State or Florida State.

Intelligence is the last thing I'd worry about.

I don't how this garbage gets propagated before the draft.

No kidding. It is amazing what you see passed as around legitimate information.

I don't know where BP got that information from, but it is amazing the power of the internet these days. I could start a blog and post garbage on it and within hours it has been passed around the message board world as legitimate.

oshinowo is limited laterlaly so he won't be making much plays on the outside. the one guy I like is McCargo from NC state. his job was to occupy OL men and take up space in the middle. he is the same size as Oshinowo but has a higher upside...I would rather take a flyer on him than Oshinowo...

So our NT is supposedly to make plays on the outside?

I would settle for one who could tie up blockers inside and let everyone else do their job before worrying what he could do on the perimeter.

As a situational player with Ferguson, Oshinowo sounds like a great lower round pick up. Have seen his name floated around here for awhile now, somehow we need a 4th round pick!

Just for the record it was Quick Draw, not I (BP), who questioned his intelligence.

I really know nothing other than where he played and what he played.

Oshinowo is a protypical NT; he's got the body build for it and can hold the point of attack. Teams who play the 3-4 will take him probably as early as 3rd round as their NT future starter; he's not a DT in the 4-3. Don't believe McCargo rated very highly as a NT, better suited as a DT in 4-3. Same goes for most of the DTs. We won't get Ngata & both Watson & Wright have questions re their motivation, etc., but both could also be good NTs. Both are falling (despite Watson's good performance in Senior Bowl) and might be available in 3rd round; depends if we want take chance on them or go with Oshinowo--several mocks have him going in 3rd. Hope luck is with the Cowboys and we can somehow add a 3rd & 4th rounder and still draft the guy in first round that we want. With 4 picks on first day and the added 4th rounder to second day picks, we would be sitting pretty good and in a position to fill many of the years we all concerned about: OLB, OL (both OF&OT), FS, NT, and WR. As for QB, doesn't sound like we will dump Henson this year but Romo in last year of 2 year contract (his 2nd 2 yr contract with us); he's not going to come back cause he wants a chance to compete & he's not getting it here. If we trade Romo, I think we will sign a FA QB like Collins as Bledsoe's backup this year; he'd be familiar with our offensive system since he played under Payton with the Giants.

I think there's a pretty good chance Oshinowo will be a Cowboy. If we pick up a late 3rd that would be where to snag him. Actually I think I'd prefer it if he were dumb, very few Stanford guys are, the NT is the NFL equivalent of garbage collector. You need a guy for that job that's one part wolverine, one part masochist.

Kelly Clemons is a guy who just might end up in NY early, if you can believe Greenie. He busted that out this AM on his Mike and Mike show. Said Clemons to the Jets is a real possability. Said something about 1st round which I guess would include a trade up from the 2nd or a trade down of some sort. I don't know. Said it was reliable sources.

I wouldn't go that far, but he is a good player. Solid arm. Good runner. Smart player. I've been watching him over the last 2 years (Im at U of O). He's a pretty good QB.

Man comparing anyone to ROger is total blasphamy. ESPECIALLY A DUCK.
