Their 2nd and 3rd would be enough to get our #22. Would you do it?

No. I would want next year's first as well.

Our #22 is only worth 780 points. Clevelands 2nd and 3rd equal 805.

A player is worth what someone will give for it. The chart is over rated.

you have to take into acct. the desperation factor.

Quinn's possibly a franchise QB. If the Browns believe this, it's not too much to ask for this yr's 2nd and next yr's 1st.

As much as I'd love to see this happen, no way does Cleveland make that deal.

If he lasts to #22, the Cowboys are in a good position because someone will want to jump ahead of Kansas City at #23.

OK, maybe they'll do this year's 3rd and next year's first. I'd hold out for next year's first at all costs. Their 3rd is early, so it's almost an extra 2nd rounder.

It would be ideal if both Cleveland and Detroit want to trade up.

That is completely unrealistic. Utterly unrealistic.

If Dallas at #22 is worth 780, what makes you think we'd get their 3rd this year and their FIRST next year which is almost certainly not going to be lower than 780 points? Why don't we just ask for their 1st the next 10 years?

You do know that a 1st next year has a value of a second on the draft value chart right?

Not to mention the Browns were debating taking Quinn at #3... his value is more than #22 to them.

And another thing. When we traded down with the Bills in 2004, we moved down 21 spots, got their 2nd, 5th in 2004, and their first in 2005. It's happened before. It's not "completely" or "utterly unrealistic." Take your rolling eyes to someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.

I can see that you think so...clearly. But I say this, if we do end up trading with Cleveland I bet you $100 that we don't get next year's first out of them. It could easily be the first pick in the draft, you know? I just don't see it happening.

And yes, I am aware that the next years' pick is worht less than the same pick this year. I just don't see us getting that much out of them.

If we could get their #2 and #3 this year I'd have to say we ought to do that. That said, there are some very talented guys at positions of need still on the board. I just see value in trading down.
