So we would have earned it anyway
so just stropped the dramatics. getting to 10 wins earned it for us, beating the NYG twice earned it for us.. we earned it , PERIOD!!
why smile?? its the NFL and we are going to the playoffs with double digit wins in B2B seasons for the first time since 2007, that why!!
I've been through far too many non-playoff seasons in the last 20 years to not be at least a little bit happy about just making the tournament. Playing meaningful football in January is the goal, and Dallas has earned their 10-4 record. Whether this will result in anything greater is yet to be seen, but in order to even have a shot at making a run you have to make the playoffs first.
At this point, it sucks they lost to Jacksonville the way they did but maybe they needed to take another loss and come back to reality before the stretch run. It's not like they got blown out. They lost on a flukey pick six in overtime after coughing up a commanding 17 point lead. Jacksonville has been playing much better the last few weeks and is not as bad as their record makes them look.
Let us not forget that they are also down Brown, Lewis, Wilson, LVE, and Hankins. That is a lot of starters and guys that make an impact on game day. It is hard to overcome your entire secondary being out.
If Dallas can play Philly to a 1 score game, even if they lose, and then beat the Titans and Football Team, I think this team will be in an excellent position headed into the playoffs. The injuries have clearly caught up on defense but I trust DQ to adjust and come out with a new game plan to try and maximize the strengths of the players left standing (how about bringing the blitz to help out this secondary and worn out pass rush!). The offense is hitting on all cylinders and will make this team tough to beat if Dak could cut out one of his two customary interceptions. I actually think that these two things are more likely to happen than not.
