Clinching a playoff spot from another team's victory is nothing to be excited about

It's actually a huge benefit to clinch a spot early, and if we don't have any real chance at winning the division, then this gives this coaching staff a chance to try different schemes and plays to ready themselves for the playoffs. Why run the exact same plays all game in the next 3 games? Try some different stuff. Try putting people in different situations and positions. Try some new plays.

And I'm not even against resting some folks that need it using more rotations in and out.

Beat the Eagles, then get real creative in these last 2 games, and get TY Hilton some reps with Dak. And throw deep, A LOT, see if Gallup or TY can stretch the defense. And PLEASE get Turpin in on the offense.

For me, I'm going to judge the quality of this coaching staff one more time by how they coach these last 3 games, especially the last 2. This is a chance to figure some stuff out.

Yeah, I'm sure no other team's fans ever complain.

I'm on a Seattle Mariners forum. They haven't been to the playoffs since 2001. Every single poster was excited when they clinched their first playoff birth in 21 years. EVERY.SINGLE.POSTER. This place is a cesspool of fans. I get it, the Cowboys have looked like garbage the last few weeks. Saying that, clinching a playoff spot is absolutely something to be excited about...no matter how bad you think they are playing. Playoffs in football is the one sport that truly anything can happen. You can nit pick all the things you don't like about it, but no matter what you complain about you will be wrong about one thing. Clinching a playoff spot is exciting and a good thing.

I didn't say it wasn't a good thing, that's some argument you are having with yourself. I'm saying only a Dallas hater says we are the worst fans. I'm saying b*tching about your team is an American tradition and just because some pansy Mariners fans are happy about something means nothing. We don't accept mediocrity here.

When

1. The QB has made it clear he is not going to change and will continue to throw a INT or more a game.

2. The coach and offensive coordinator made it clear they are too stupid to close out a game when drawing a 40 yd pass on 3rd and 10

3. The defense has made it clear they cant hold a lead and will collapse in the 2nd half

So why would any fan be SMILING after clinching a playoff spot from another team playing well??

If this was the last week of the season I'd agree. You don't clinch a playoff spot with 3 games left because someone helped you. Ten wins in 14 games are why they're in.

The "fired/trade/cut everybody" people are OTT, but if you are not concerned about the way this team is playing you are ignoring reality.

Its just not that serious man. Im concerned i dont stress. next weeks game could be a completely diffeent outcome. Injuries are piling up though

So you don't care who wins or loses you just like the purty uniforms and bright lights. OK, got it, we'll put you in the "it don't matter one way or the other" camp of non-fans.
OOH the Im a better fan than you card. That a real original. I care I just dont stress. I just dont whine like a little girl. Im grateful for football season and the time its here. If they lose Im fully aware that they are a group of 31 other teams that didnt accomplish their goal.

It's not about being a better fan than you because you are not really a fan. You are an occasional watcher. You watch the games when your wife lets you, we get it. It's not stressing to not like what happened yesterday. That you don't care means nothing to us, go find a knitting forum. To dismiss people who are concerned about the teams pay as "whiners" and "little girls" shows you just don't give a d*** about winning or losing, you're happy no matter what.

lol youre a joke :laugh:. you dont know **** about how and when i watch the cowboys in fact i was probably pretty invested in them when you were still sucking on youre moms left tit.I just know that its not that serious if we lose. its secondary to alot of other things in life. I get the same emotions as most cowboy fans but i let it go. I played football I understand how hard it is to win in football at a much lower level in the Pros its extremely hard. its a week to week league. I dismiss those who whine week in and week out

I dismiss those fans who think that everything is the QBs fault. I dismiss those fans that forget there are 2 teams playing both trying to win. If it bothers you that much perhaps find a easier past time to follow. Perhaps golf is more to youre liking as there is only one person you can blame.

Not a big deal, no. But I suppose it beats the hell outa those great Dave Campo 5-11 seasons (2000-2002). Remember those?

So, it wasn't because the Cowboys had the 2nd best record in the NFL and had (have) a 3+ game lead on the teams that had a shot at the final wild card spot?

All the people say Dallas needed Washington to lose to clinch, but from every scenario I can see, Dallas had already clinched before they even played yesterday.

Hint: If you clinch a playoff spot with 3 weeks to go, you didn't "back in."

This is a severely flawed team that isn't going to win another game this year. Stick a large fork in them, they're done!

I mean we scored 34 point and if not for a terrible drop by Noah Brown probably go on to win the game. I don't think you can complain about the offense today.

I'm 60 years old so I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. Sounds like I struck a nerve there about watching when your wife lets you. It's OK, you're what is called a "casual fan".

I just know that its not that serious if we lose. its secondary to alot of other things in life.

Yeah, we all know that. You've made it clear you don't care if they win or lose, you just want to be entertained. Some of us are more involved in thei stuff and do care about winning or losing. People like you who come here and act like you are better than other people because you don't care are just horses arses. No one is making it the end of the world. We like to discuss the team, we want more than to just be entertained. But don't worry, if your wife lets you watch next week, the lights will be bright, there will be purty colors and flashy cheerleaders to entertain you. Those of us who give a s*** will be here the next day discussing the game and you can come tell us how silly we are and how it doesn't bother you so it shouldn't bother anyone else if they win or lose and how we are the worst fans in all of sports.

lol youre a joke and yes the cowboys have some of the worst entitled fans there are. But continue whining if thats what you enjoy. the cubs are my second favorite baseball team and I endured alot of years of failures with them as well. I enjoy the time that they are playing and then i let it go.look at the front page today its pathetic.heck even in wins like last week it was ridiculous.

But hey if you enjoy that rock on

Maybe you are better suited for your Seattle Mariners forum where all of you are shiny happy positive people and no one ever complains. I mean, since we Cowboy fans are so horrible. You don't care if the Cowboys win or lose so I'm not sure why you are here anyway.

You sure as hell care about something though since you keep responding and getting angrier each time. Like I said, maybe your Seattle Mariners forum is the place for you, since we Cowboy fans anger you so.
