Hernandez has been on the Cowboys radar for a couple of years now. Scout Sam Garza has deep ties at UTEP and Cowboys have visited with Hernandez several times already and can do private workout. They should have a good feeling already and can save the visit for another player.

100%, even if he doesn't someone will.

I remember myself and a lot of others loving Larry Warford a few years back and he made it to the 3rd round.

I totally agree. You can check my history and know that I've been a fan of this player for almost a year now, and nothing has changed. But having said that, even I wouldn't draft him with the 19th pick overall. In a Travis Fredrick trade down scenario? Sure, I'd move into the 20's and gladly take him and the draft picks that would come with that move.

I think its likely he falls a bit. Probably to like 30. If 4 or 5 qbs go in the top 20, all of the non sexy positions will fall--guard, te, Dt, center, etc.

And other guards with more athleticism and flexibility may go ahead of him too

I really like Hernandez. I just don't think we can afford to sink that much cap into one position group. I feel like it would end up costing us one of our other talented OLs.

I’m all for it in a trade down or a trade up with our 2nd if we traded down in a the first and acquired more ammo.

I'm shooting for LVE at #19 and trading the #81 to Cleveland to move up to the top of the second round for Hernandez. He probably won't fall to the 2nd, but with Nelson, Hernandez, Wynn, and Daniels all projected to the first round you figure one of them has to slide. It's my hope anyways.

Unless Ridley or James slips this is my guy! I think there will be four fantastic 1st round worthy guards taken between pick 15-35 IMO and Id be happy with any one of these studs for LG but Lust for the Mauler Hernandez at lg!
