Closed on the new home... finally !!

My son and I just closed on a new home last night. Great place here in town and the runt gets to stay in the same school. We are very excited. Things just worked out extremely well w/ this purchase. I have heard terrible stories of buying your home lately, but this experience was really enjoyable for me to be honest. We have been looking since Feb, so it's been a lengthy process. I just didn't want to be in a rush and regret the purchase.

We have had zero problems the whole way. Couple of times the mortg company called, but it was for very basic information.

This home was just meant for us I think. We feel really blessed. Just wanted to share.

DirecTV will be over next week for install of new service and a new 65" Pany Plasma was ordered last night. The TV room is obviously my 1st project upon moving in.

:laugh2: So true! The mortgage rates are just to hard to pass up. I got in at 3.6. It's better than paying someone else I guess.

The TV room will be Cowboys colors. I am trying to decide on how I want the colors laid out.


Blue walls - white trim w/ about a 1 inch silver outline under/above all of the trime is where I am at atm. I am still swatchin stuff.

At one point I was, but they put a lot on the table here at my office in order to keep me. Solid management in place here helped me decide to stay loinger. That had a lot of my decision to just stay here. At least until my son is fully grown and off to college.

Winters are hard, but I have decided that he and I will be flying to the sunshines 2-3 times over the winters.

Spend the summers here and spend a portion of the winters out in Hawaii or Cali or Mexico. Anything to break up the long dark days and cold.
