As promised, and endlessly harassed by Zrinkill to do here is my thread on CMpunk situation.
It is late since I did not watch RAW as that boring idiot is champion so I simply forgot to check the wrestling threads, but here we go.
CM Punk resigned on Money in the bank as he disclosed on a podcast, ESPN's Bill Simmons podcast a few weeks back. He said he did not make up his mind to stay or go until he heard the plans for the MITB night, since he resigned they went with this storyline. He did not disclose how long he resigned for, but he did state he resigned.
CM Punk had full intentions of leaving, as he believed he was being mis-used, most of the reasons were then incorporated into storyline's.
CM Punk stayed as the writers IQ points must've grown 50 or so points so instead of booking for 6 year olds they started booking for 16 year olds, well at least until they gave the championship to that idiot.
Either way, CM Punk did not leave WWE, I was wrong, but at the time I stated it I was correct. CM Punk said so himself multiple times, was he working everyone? Possibly, but I highly doubt it as nearly every credible wrestling-news outlet reported he was leaving, and Wrestling Observer reported after MITB he resigned and didn't makeup his mind until that day.
