CNN: Killer whale lives up to its name at SeaWorld

I would say using a young woman as a chew toy, constitutes a pest.

And trying to kill every bird and small rodent they see.

What is stray cats natural habitat? :laugh2:
Nobody is recounting tales of people killed by stray cats either.

lol that reminded me of this ***

Today, it's my birthday. My mom decided to wake me up by having our new, previously stray, cat thrown on top of me. I was awoken to two claws ripping across my face which needed 16 stitches to fix. Happy Birthday. ***

Cat's can **** you up. Small and extremely flexible and their claws are like razors. You might smash it eventually, but it will put a hurtin' on you.

I know some of the whales at Sea World are rescues from other facilities that were inadequate.

And no, most of them can't be returned to the wild. That's basically what ended up killing Keiko (the famous Free Willy whale). Well-meaning people tried to reintegrate him into the wild, and, because of his prolonged contact with people, he couldn't make his way with other whales and ended up malnourished.

I think a long-term trainer at a facility like that would be horrified if they tried to put it down because of this.

These animals belong in the ocean, not a tank.

You can't fault the whale.

What an awful way to go. Poor woman. Hope it was a quick death.

Me too. She made her money exploiting a wild animal so she knew the danger. I hate it happened but animals like that are unpredictable.

Never heard of beached whales?

the ones that are already dead, or the ones that should be put right back where THEY belong.

Cause those are the only cases ever seen. There would never in anyone's wildest dreams be some sort of in between case. That's just crazy talk.

I remember that and it got me as well. Some dope asking what drove this animal to such a state.

How about the alien environment, screaming people and clown music?
That's all I need to be driven into such a state. Nevermind the alien environment or screaming people.

Elephants and whales are very smart creatures. Exploit at your own risk.

You guys realize that a good number of animals at Seaworld are rescues?

Don't you just hate it when you see people that drive out into the country and dump their killer whales or squids or walruses off at the side of the road?

Heartbreaking. Alot of this could be prevented if we all just spay/neuter our killer whales, and quit buying from irresponsible backyard breeders and killer whale mills.

A whale at the edge of the ocean (hint hint) dragged into some man made tank and made to perform for the pleasure of dopes.

Rescued eh? :laugh1:

No they came from other so called parks and whatever. More then a few end up at Sea World. That is what is meant by rescues. They would have no chance if returned to the wild since they had never come from there.
