Coach Andy Reid said he wants to run the ball far more next season.
"The more you can keep it close to 50-50, the more you keep people honest defensively." That would be a huge departure from this year, when the team was closer to 70-30 when Donovan McNabb was healthy.

This is a sure sign that T.O. won't be back. Looks like the West Coast offense is falling out of favor, OR, McNabb's recovery isn't as good as they hoped.

anybody think they will go after a real rb in FA? Like Edgerrin James if available?
They can't plan for Westbrook to survive a whole season getting fulltime rb carries. I don't think Moats will be that kind of guy either.

That is an interesting thought that hadn't occured to me.

I think Edge would be a good fit there, and they have enough cap space to do it assuming Indy lets him go. Westbrook isn't durable enough IMO.

Ding Ding Ding. Rumors are already circulating to this effect. They'll replace TO with Edge, if he's available, and be a much better team next year.

Draft a RB Andy. Westbrook is hurt too often and more suited to a 3rd down back than an every down one.

Surely you didn't imagine T.O. in a Eagles jersey next year.

Westbrook would be the perfect H-Back.

He could line up at RB, Pass Catching TE and WR. Just don't give him more than 10 carries a game.

Go draft a real grinding RB and they'd be lethal.

Shaun Alexander will also be a FA and I think you will see Philly making a bid for him and it appears Minn will also make a strong push for Alexander

If the Seahawks don't resign him this month (before or after the SB) they will be labeled the dumbest organization known to mankind.

Unfortunately, they're drafting high enough to take one of several good young backs... I hope they don't take someone like Lendale White or Maroney (or any other very good bigger back), but they very well might...

I like Lendale White a lot. I think he is going to be the guy that transitions fastest to the NFL. Lets hope that he doesnt land with the Eagles.

Actually, Edge is only 27. Not too bad, huh?
