Coach of the Year Rankings

Garrett has been brilliant all year. I shudder thinking about the rotating carousel of coaches we had here after Jimmy left. That was a disaster, even though the team still had talent. Good coaches are as important as good players. Stability at the head coaching position is critical. In many ways they are the face of the franchise, along with the quarterback. Head coach of the Cowboys is the best coaching job in all of sports. Jason recognizes that and I think he loves it here. He said it is an honor to coach the team with its rich tradition, Thanksgiving Day game ect. And of course he was a long time player here as well which makes it even more meaningful. Jason deserves Coach of the Year. And he should buy Dak dinner to celebrate.

Im not a Garrett Fan at all but it's gotta be Garrett or Jack Del Rio.

I lean toward Garrett because he is winning with a 4th round rookie QB, a defense with no names, and has not missed a beat when guys like T. Smith, and Dez Bryant have missed games.

I'm not biased toward Garrett either.. Trust me.
Have you noticed Garrett much more intense on the sidelines this year? Saltier than usual. I know I have. I love it!

Garrett will be the run away COTY
2 rookies handling big roles and dealing w a boob like Jones ensures that...

Although Linehan and Coach Rod are the REAL MVP'S

We became legit the day they took over the coordinator spots

Jason Garrett, Cowboys

There aren't many coaches capable of guiding a team to the league's best record with a pair of rookies thriving in marquee roles. That's why Garrett is the clear frontrunner in this race with the Cowboyssitting atop the NFC with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott pacing a dominant offense that has made Jerry Jones' squad look unbeatable down the stretch. The rookies are not only playing like seasoned vets at their positions, but they are emerging as strong leaders for a team that's peaking heading into the playoffs. With a no-name defense that's wearing out opponents with heart and hustle, the Cowboys' head coach deserves credit for his stellar work in Big D.

So, so proud to eat crow. We have a good coach, perhaps on his way to being an elite coach. Let's see how this post season plays out. Just last year I wanted him gone; I am onboard the JG train. Idgit is the conductor :)

I'm a "BKG". Both kind of guy.

I think you need a healthy mix of choir boys and thugs
From what I've read in the past, JG's definition of RkG has nothing to do with being a choir boy, but has everything to do with being passionate, being professional, and loving the game. I'll take those traits in a player every time.

Garrett will win it. He will finally receive the due he so deservedly has earned for overcoming the most selfish indulging football idiot in the NFL.

If its not Garrett then heads should roll. He is the most deserving person right now for that title bar none. I'm not a Garrett fan either.

Jason completely won me over with that gif of him saying "Go for it, win the game" on 4th down. I don't care if he's essentially just a cheerleader. I like his style of cheerleading.

Same, Theo. And that quote his him coaching :)
