Great pointGarrett had 10 years to prove he was Jason Garrett 1.0. Can we give Schott more than one?

To be fair does Sean mcvay instill fear? And be honestI'm gonna be honest: At about the 6 minute mark I thought, "This guy is really goofy."
I don't think he has any ability to instill fear, so he better be beloved.
That con lasted a decade. What's that say about Jerry who evaluates HC talent?Very unfair accusation.
BS may not turn out to be very good, but he's not a conniving backstabbing overgrinning con man.
Except JG has Super Bowl bling.Jason Garrett 2.0
Did he draft Stafford’s replacement, or did he bang on about how much he loves him? You already see what he did with Goff who - say what you want - got him to a SB and has proven to be a pretty good player. To be fair does Sean mcvay instill fear? And be honest
The guy has been around A LONG TIME. If you're an astute observer on any level you don't hang around this long and not pick up a bunch of knowledge and insight. Some of the greatest minds in history were late bloomers. It's early so time will prove either way if he's a good HC or not. But honestly, I have liked what I have seen from him so far. He may come across a little goofy at times but he seems to get the players individually and they seem to respond to him in a good way. And he seems to really know football and how to teach it. He seems to have a plan to get players and the team better in place and moving in the right direction as well.
He also seems to understand he needs good coaches around him to make that plan happen and I think he has brought some good ones in.
It has been reported that the QB they drafted was the front office’s decision and Nanny McVey was not on board. Can’t say for sure if it’s true but that’s what I remember reading.Did he draft Stafford’s replacement, or did he bang on about how much he loves him? I like what Parcells said, “You’re not just competing with the guys on the roster. You’re competing with anyone I can get my hands on.”
There are many, many ways to instill a healthy respect. But focusing on McVey, I don’t see him getting too too personal with the players, nor is he attached to any one player. So…
A link to what you remember reading would be welcome. It has been reported that the QB they drafted was the front office’s decision and Nanny McVey was not on board. Can’t say for sure if it’s true but that’s what I remember reading.

I may have heard it on TV or the radio. I also recall seeing it posted here
They can't. They never like anything.Garrett had 10 years to prove he was Jason Garrett 1.0. Can we give Schott more than one?
We haven idea what is said in closed rooms and meetings.Schotty can't rip players and be a hardass... he doesn't have that option. A player who feels wronged by him can just appeal to Jerry.
"Players' coach" is the only card he has.

Fans seem to want a yelling screaming in your face coach.
That does not work.
If we had that type of coach, the same fans would find fault with that.
Key term is years ago. Jerry may be relinquishing power. Will see if it keeps up or notDLaw told us how this goes years ago... "don't talk to Coach, talk to Jerry.'
Any rumor that supports your notion that Dak is not responsible for his play - Jerry is - will do. It was the front office decision to get rid of Goff too? Just like you seem to know everything behind the scene at Jerry world, I know about the rams. I have two cousin ram fans that have confirmed this and they hated the pick.Any rumor that supports your notion that Dak is not responsible for his play - Jerry is - will do. Well, we agree on something: I don’t love the pick. I do however love the intent and strategy: a ruthless pursuit of excellence. Hallmarks of the Patriots and Rams, both very successful franchises. I don’t think anyone here can accuse me of being a Dak coddler. You seem to think that you can’t say anything positive at all about Dak. Even when I criticize him at the same time. I don’t do a lot of criticizing because these boards are dominated by it, so no need to add to it. Much is justified and much more is irrational hatred. There are only a handful of posters who defend him, and I suspect it’s to troll you extreme anti-Daks. You know, because Dak is the best QB ever. Don’t have a meltdown, lolWell, we agree on something: I don’t love the pick. I do however love the intent and strategy: a ruthless pursuit of excellence. You say the organization is failing Dak…but Dak is a central part of said failure. McVeigh nor Belichick would have tolerated this loser.
