Last night I think the best part of 'Hard Knocks' was Coach Stewart's rant to the defense in a meeting and today he spoke to Galloway and Company about the show...

Coach Stewart on GAC

Some of the stuff was funny and Stew handled it well.

I know some people can't stand Mosley ever since he went to ESPN and I think I am starting to see why.

I get it that he's joking, but he seems to constantly be in 'smart ***' mode.

Mosley, calm down a little on that 'Bush League' stuff because it's getting pretty tired.

I like Mosley. His jokes crack me up.

How can you not like that guy?

That actually made me uncomfortable. It looked staged for the show and very unnatural.

Garrett talking to Bennett about the shirt made me squirm. It seemed a little flamboyant.

I have never really heard much about Stewart being a fire and brimstone type. And then you see that and it was somewhat strange.

I think he actually is far from that aggressive "my way or the highway" type. I could be mistaken, but I have never really got that impression about him.

Plus, it was a bit ironic that he makes the paint peel off the walls on the show and his defense promptly goes out and plays about as flat and uninspired as they could.

He just strikes me as trying very hard to gain respect, but he's failing. It is not really a secret who the real defensive boss is.

Man talk about dumb questions, who cares about who is laughing at what WP jokes?

One interesting comment was when Stewart said 2 starters were out Spencer and Newman. Is Spencer now starting ahead of Ellis?

Stewart is a blow hard, do boy for Wade Phillips. I seriously doubt players listen to a rant from a guy with a DC title and doesnt run the defense.

The problem is we don't know if that occurs on a regular basis or not. We get one good looksee into these guys lives once a week. Prior to this rant, Stewart has always come across just like his head coach: a mild-mannered professional.

I've been around too many coaches to believe that this is the first time he's lit into his guys. And IMO, he was still fairly mild.

It's the same way people think the Roy stuff is staged. I can't imagine why. Whatever you think of his play, most media outlets seem to agree that he's a nice guy who gets along with his teammates.

Our perception of these guys are not always reality...

I guess, along this same line, I was kinda surprised with Sherman. I had always thought he was a "players" coach, as mild mannered as Wade. Not even close. He get's on his guys.

Wrong again...............
