Does anybody know of any coaches, either head coach or assistant (past or present), that actually played for the Cowboys at some point in their careers before they moved on to coaching?

All I have so far is:

-Jason Garrett
-Mike Ditka
-Dan Reeves
-Jack Del Rio
-Ray Horton
-Ken Norton, Jr.

Dan Campbell coaches TEs in Miami, or he did, I assume he's still there.

I believe George Teague is a high school coach at a private in the DFW area. I think Aveion Cason is a trainer in Arlington (don't know if that qualifies as a "coach). I saw him at a gym training someone about 6-7 months ago.

Alexander Wright-
In 1999, Wright earned the Master of Arts in sports management from Lindenwood University. In 2002 he served as the interim head coach of the River City Renegades, a National Indoor Football League team. In 2003 he served as the wide receiver coach for Francis Howell Central High School in St. Charles, MO. In 2004, he was the wide receiver coach for West Texas A&M University. In 2005, he was hired to be the offensive coordinator at Greensboro College. He was the offensive coordinator for Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He then took a role as Athletic Director and head football coach at San Jacinto Christian Academy in Amarillo, TX. He was there from 2008-2010. He also assisted the track team and help mentor many young kids at the school. He later moved to San Antonio for his ministry and is currently the Athletic Director and head football coach for Cornerstone Christian Schools, San Antonio Texas

John Kitna-
Kitna is currently a math teacher and football coach at his high school alma mater, Lincoln High School.[2] As coach he led the team to a 5–5 record in the 2012 season.[

Jim Jeffcoat-
After his retirement in 1997, he spent seven seasons (1998–2005) on the Cowboys' coaching staff. Jeffcoat spent his last five seasons in the organization as the defensive ends coach after two years as the club's assistant defensive line coach.

On January 28, 2008, Jeffcoat was hired to join Kevin Sumlin's staff at the University of Houston as defensive line coach.[4] Prior to arriving in Houston, Jeffcoat was in private business in the Dallas area for two years.

In January 2013, Jeffcoat joined the University of Colorado Buffaloes as defensive line coach under recently hired head coach Mike MacIntyre.

Jon Kitna's story is inspiring. If you can find the link (I can't at the moment) it is well worth the read. Basically, he coaches at a school filled with troubled teens in WA state.
