There's no doubt anymore. The players have lost confidence in the coaches and are just going through the motions. This late in the year, I doubt the coaches can win them back.

the eagles will win the east, but the eagles will not beat Seattle. no need to worry about a Lombardi in Philadelphia

Or New Orleans. Or SF.

The Eagles are a very empty team. They remind me of the 2009 and 2010 squad that would get waxed when they actually faced a decent team.

I think Kiffin has lost the defensive players for sure.

They feel sorry for Grandpa, but can see for themselves that his antiquated schemes just don't work anymore in today's NFL.

The game has passed him by and it's pity at this point more than anything else.

now that is funny. Anyone thinking the birds are any kind of serious SB threat failed Football 101. Just as anyone thinking we were either.

And yet Jones says he can't think of anyone better to fix the defense than Monte Kiffen.

Part of me wonders if the coaching staff had this team to begin with this off-season. Other than Dez and Lee, who else on the team looks hungry? Who has the eye of the tiger?

My impression is that most of these guys are just happy to be here and are quite comfortable. I may be wrong but that is my impression.

I don't see it.

There are 2 players that are a problem, IMO. Bruce Carter has some type of issue and Ware appears to have given up on playing through pain.

I chalk that up to PR nonsense.

A poor attempt at circling the wagons, trying to salvage something from another wasted season.

An attempt in vain, but an attempt just the same.

Expected from an old fool who continues to believe that he can 'fix' one or two small details and turn a loser into a winner and 'show everyone'.

It's been that way for years now and until he gets socked in the pockets, I doubt it will change.

And it was the same way for Al Davis for years too.

He, and his team, became an NFL laughingstock, but most folks bit their tongue out of respect for the man and what he had accomplished in years past.

I see us well on our way to the same fate.

The only difference is that I don't think Jerry Jones has as much equity built up as Al Davis did.

Monte's never found them, unfortunately.

Church was asked why didn't the team go to the dime with which they've had success for, and he said he didn't know why either.
