Coaches/scouts/staff Skipping the Senior Bowl

Someone here may have to research this for me. Iis this the first time in the teams history we have chosen NOT to attend the Senior Bowl game? I found this story strange. If anyone can find and post an article as to why we are doing this, PLEASE DO. Does this signify other players we already have our eyes on. Lets debate this. There was a tweet from Fisher but it said coaches weren’t going. Not that scouts wouldn’t go

Yeah it seems it's just the coaches that aren't going............ we will have some scouts there. At least that's how I read it.

I don't have an issue with the coaches staying in Dallas. The staff is new, they probably have a lot to sort out in terms of looking at the roster, getting ready for FA, etc.

I wonder if i'ts a good idea to keep staff away from the senior bowl just so they don't create biases.

How many articles have we read over the years that "Cowboys staff really loved X player" blah blah blah. Building that relationship could artificially inflate draft status.

The coaching staff isnt going. Nothing reported that scouts werent going. Please double check your info before posting it. This is how misinformation gets spread

Coaching staffs don't always attend the Senior Bowl, it is more of the scouting staff event. If they said our scouts won't be in attendance, that would be alarming, especially since this Senior Bowl is loaded IMO. You will see coaches at the Senior Bowl, but usually not the entire staff.

The coaching staffs that attend are typically the two teams coaching the North and Souths quad. They are the two worst-finishing teams with returning head coaches.

1. Bengals
2. Commanders (new head coach)
3. Lions

It would make sense that our new staff would be spending time together at The Star going over McCarthy's plans and expectations.

McCarthy said "most of the scouts and front office personnel" will be in attendance, just not the coaches. He said it was because they're still assembling the staff and that the Senior Bowl has changed in the way you're able to interact with players.

A lot of coaches are terrible talent evaluators anyways.
