I think we all know and agree that Wade's days are probably numbered with the Cowboys. We just don't know when the move will happen. My Question to anyone is if a Coaching Change is made who would best serve the current Cowboy Team as their new HC and why ?

Cowher ...... though I do not think Cowboy fans have patience for his type of slow rebuilding.

As to why? I think he is the perfect blend of players coach and disciplinarian.

Players love him and they also fear him.

Promote Garrett. Get it out of Jerry's system.

Zrinkill just curious...would Cowher even take the Cowboys job ? if so what would it cost the Boyz ?

I think he would ...... if he was made the highest paid coach in the league.

Most of the time I don't see the point in changing HCs during the season.

In the Cowboys situation, I can see a point in it. (not that it's definitely the right thing to do though)

It's still very early in the season, so a coach has some times to put something in place. Changing a coach at week 12, is generally just a complete waste of time.

The Cowboys have enough talent to win a lot of games. To do that, the team has to be prepared on game day. That is something they haven't been three of the four games they've played. That lands directly on Wade's head. The Cowboys should easily be 4-0 right now. If you continue to leave Wade as the HC you risk the same failure the rest of the season. A change in coaching can add a spark to the team. Especially if it's a no-nonsense head coach.

As I noted, I'm generally against changing HC during the season, but I will say this. I was all for firing Wade long ago. It's early enough in the season that the team can turn this around. The problem is, the team always returns to what it is under Wade. An ill-prepared team. I think a change (to the right HC) would be a good thing now. Now, I mean now. If you wait till week 10, then forget it. Wait till the season is over to switch. If you're going to do it, do it now while there is a lot of football left to be played.

Get rid of the whole lot. Today, tomorrow, whenever,

Wade, .... Gone.

Garrett..... Gone...

I would keep De Camillis and Sherman, others and go with it.

Oh, but NO FRIGGIN CAMPO ANYWHERE ON THE TEAM. Not even serving water.

Rebuilding isn't really that necessary - we just need to actually have some real reps in practice and stop practicing until "good enough".

You eliminate idiotic penalties and block someone every once in a while, and we probably win that game.

I was for a change after last season, and after week 2. But we went out and beat what now looks like a weak Houston team and everything was back to normal??

We are in a hole and if a new coach could squeeze 9 wins out of this year it would be anything short of miraculous.

that's what would happen if anything. He'd have to be interim since it is mid-season so it give Jer a ton of flexibility.

Paul P would likely become the D-coord

Jerry Jones should be the HC for the rest of the season. Demote Wade to DC and just do it. Then he will have gotten it out of his system once and for all.

What difference would it make?

LOL, Yep..

I like the idea.

Make JJ the HC for real. Let him get down on that field and see what is really going on.

The problem is. He wouldn't see it, He would get EVEN MORE attention and that would be it for us fans as to ever seeing the COwboys back in the Super Bowl. LOL.

I think it would backfire immensely.

Face it. Dallas is the Oakland Raiders of the NFC. Nothing changes until Jerry is gone.

Hook em#11 is DEAD ON....clear everyone out but Joe D. and Sherman.....that's a good start. The Depressing part is it isn't going to happen.

I'm thinking a rebuilding the offensive line might be necessary. Koiser is still good, but he is getting old and at some point has to be replaced. Davis, Gurode, and Colombo are not installing any confidence.

Games are won and lost on the line of scrimmage.

Offensive line... Needs help.

And screw this defense and the DC too.

Green Bay plays a 3-4, and the playes are 2 years into that new "scheme". You would never know it. Those players fly to the ball. Coaching.

No way does this overrated Dallas Defense get a pass. Sure, they don't let opposing teams score that much. Except LATELY, and they don't let RB's usually rush for over 100yds.

They also don't get much constant pressure, turnovers and sacks. I will take those over the latter.

Kinda scary to say this but I think JG would make a decent HC as long as he doesn't call plays... His Football IQ is tremendous but if he has to call plays he looks like a savant.

This is exactly what is going to happen; it's just a matter of timing. Does Jerry do it now? Does Jerry wait until 1-4? Does Wade buy himself a few weeks with a win next week? The only way it doesn't happen sometime this season is if Wade gets them to .500, sooner rather than later.
