I am a first time poster and have simply had enough of watching jason garrett coaching this football team. My dream hire would be Nick Saban, just wanted y'alls thoughts of the chances of us hiring him and restoring the glory. I see him similar to Jim Harbough at the 49ers and think we should through the bank at him to get him to come here.

Saban? Isn't he the same guy that bailed out on the Dolphins or something a few years back.?

*****, I don't care for Garrett either, and never have, but, you don't axe a coach after the 2nd week of the season.

Seriously?? You can't type the J-word in here ?

Wow.

really a guy who bailed on Miami after what one year because he decided he did not like dealing with NFL players and went back to the College Ranks

There's something to be said for lurking a bit longer.

Saban is happy at Bama, he has been in the NFL and left it to go to Bama. He is not looking for an NFL career. Some coaches love the college ranks and who can blame them when success gives you a god like status.

fixed.

Why do some people think it's so impossible for a guy to be a first time poster?

Anyway, I can see why people like Saban, because he's a bad-a as a coach. His teams are extremely physical and well-prepared. But he's failed pretty miserably as an NFL coach already, and he's the King in Alabama. Don't see why he'd leave that.

It is good to be da king. :laugh2:

Why was it troll bait?

And I can see why people would think Saban would be like Harbaugh. He also reminds a lot of people of Jimmy. The OP may be young and not even remember Saban's brief time at Miami.

The problem, if there is one, is not the head coach but rather the owner/gm. As long as JJ keeps a leash on the coach, no matter who it is, things will not change.

I mean, we had Bill Parcells for goodness sake and it could not work.

As long as JJ keeps a say as to who starts, plays etc we will still have the same problems. Perfect example is what we read this week. Garrett statement regarding Felix Jones as kick returner "We are exploring other options" Jerry Jones statement "Felix Jones job is safe". Next day Garrett statement he does a 180 "Felix is our kick returner".

Where do you think Garrett got that word?

What you fail to understand, Jerry Jones is the Owner/GM/coach/offensive coordinator/chief scout, Garrett is just another in a long line of puppets...that was made perfectly clear when Jerry declared to the media, F.Jones would remain the kick returner.....if Garret was really in charge, he would of either benched him, traded him or cut him...
