If our fans think we are just a “Sean Payton” away, please review the last 26 seasons and the 6 different HCs, 7 different OCs, 8 different DCs, and the 70 different assistant coaches our owner has hired in that time and remember…all those different coaches and we still have managed only 3 wild card playoff wins in 26 yrs.

The Bengals have matched that playoff win total in this one season. Pathetic.

Because we still have an owner that thinks he’s a great GM and and all we need is some luck.

We had our chances against SF. We couldn’t move the ball in them

The irony or blind squirrel finally found a nut moral to this story is that Mike Brown is also OWNER/GM of the Bengals like Jerry is the Cowboys.

And even worse, he's 86.
Jerry's "ONLY" 79.
So Mike could joke with Jerry how he is ahead of Jerry.

And Jerry might think he's got that 7 years age difference in time to catch up.

Whats another 7 years anyway? Shoot, he could hire and fire another 2 coaches in that time span, right?

I mean Jerry's at least already got his own Joe Prescott changing the culture.

The future is bright, lol

Jason Garrett can win with the Rams team due to the talent they have. Coach has to stay out and not make a dumb decision and let the better talent run the show. Most teams are not stacked as Rams or Bucs and those teams need good coaching schemes.

Yep it make a huge difference. Look at the bengals, they finally found a coach and QB an it made a difference.

Exactly. I like how they are being built. It helps when you have Burrow who played on a pro styled offense at LSU.

Its about mental toughness. We are for better or worse one of the most watched teams in football. Teams want us to fail.

Its hard to win the SB no matter who you have at the helm. But being involved every year, being competitive. Not losing because of ineptitude, or penalties, or poor decisions. Losing because your playing scared is coachable. The team takes on the mindset of its head coach.

Thats why I like Sean Peyton. He commands instant respect. The instant MM walked into this building and agreed to let KM take the play calling he was just another puppet. Which may or not be his fault, or a combo of both.

That missed INT by the 49ers...saved his scrawny butt. He would have heard about it for weeks. But that's football.
His game management was poor today

To be fairthough, the Rams dropped at least 2 easy ints too.

Accountability. That's what it takes. If you aren't afraid of losing your job to the next in line...that's what it takes. If the next guy in line can do your job better than you did, well good bye.

Watching the NFL the last month or so, especially in the playoffs, I am thoroughly convinced that there are 5-7 coaches in the league that can take their team and beat ours, then take our team and beat theirs. Among those would be Shanahan, McVay, Bill’s coach, LaFleur, etc, etc. I feel like when we win it’s in spite of MM and Moore not because of them.

everything makes a difference. Funny during the game they showed media and fan reaction about Shannahan no one was singing his praises as they looked like crap. He and his team turned things about but it shows how quick people are to dump on coaches and players at a whim then act as if they are great when things improve.

Barry Switzer has a ring. Did the Cowboys win because of him or in spite of him?

I disagree, bottom line, he has one, Shanahan doesn't, McVay doesn't yet, McDermott doesn't.
Whatever happened to being judged on winning?

Combination of coaching and culture in Dallas. If one of those coaches can change the culture then they would be very successful in Dallas too. Our culture is soft - I am hoping Parsons can be that Ray Lewis guy who changes every players mindset on defense!

Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer are Super Bowl winning QB’s. Were they better than Marino who never won a Super Bowl? Sometimes you win in spite of someone not because of them.

I would say all the coaches you mentioned are better than MM and it’s pretty obvious.
