I know Nolan is not favored by many here, and let’s say you get your wish and Nolan is fired today. What former players might be an innovative hire as defensive coordinator?

Sean Lee could probably do as well as Nolan has and he would have knowledge of player abilities on the team. Darren Woodson was that type of cerebral player as well but he has been out of the game a long time.

An insane player like Ray Lewis would be an innovative hire, because he would literally kill an underperforming player. Lol. Ed Reed? I’m just saying players like that might change the defensive culture here.

Jerry has nothing to lose by making that change, if he decides to pull the plug on Nolan.

I hate it here.

To even mention generational talents and DOGS Ray Lewis or Ed Reed in the same breath as Dallas Cowboys Defense is an insult and travesty to those players

It’s the players not the coaching staff. Last year with a different coach, they stood at 6-4, with the most “talented” team in the NFC east. They won 2 more games.

This year, talented roster, yet these players are once again blaming the coaches. There has to be a mass exodus of these entitled, piss poor players in order to go forward. Jaylon, Tank, Crawford and Xavier need to go.

If I’m McCarthy, I stand before the team with my SB ring and my coaching resume and tell these entitled players that when they can match it they can ***** and complain. If not shut up and play as you’re coached.

I would like to know what Demarcus Ware is doing and if available bring him in to work with Gregory, Smith and D Law

Edwards.

Already coaching for the team.

Ware was a great player but I never viewed him as all that much of a coach type of player or motivational.

I’m not sure that reading comprehension is your forte’.

I say make them earn it and see if they can do the job first. Give them a season on the coaching staff in some assistant capacity.

I am tired of the Dallas learn on the job philosophy. Just get people who know what they are doing. We don't need geniuses. Enough already with that crap!

The question should be, "How many dallas coaches does it take to win a game?"

Get the DL in order, and things will magically begin to fall into place.

Bring all of them in and do a coach by committee thingy.

We do NOT have good players on defense....period.

Our best corners are Diggs and Brown. Everyone wanted to see Awuze gone, yet he would be a huge improvement over Worley. Jordan Lewis is garbage and has been exposed.
Our safeties are JAGs. Nothing really stands out about Woods, and D. Wilson hasn’t made any plays yet either.

LVE is by far our best all around LB when healthy. Jaylen seems like a role player, more than an every down guy. Johnson is a part time SLB or backup. Lee hasn’t seen the field, and our young LBs must be garbage since they can get no playing time on a terrible defense.

DLaw is playing the run well and giving effort, but he’s not bringing pass pressure. Griffen thinks he is Robert Quinn, forgoing all run responsibilities while trying to get sacks for a payday next year. Armstrong is garbage. Aldon Smith is okay, but at his size should have his hand in the dirt instead of playing OLB. Our best DT was second year Hill, whom last year’s coaches hated. Our healthy DTs are all JAGs or worse.

Add to that a complicated defense where after 6 games guys still don’t know what they are doing and DBs are still blowing deep coverage, and I really don’t see how you fix it before the offseason.

It’s stupid to say the players don’t care. They care, but they are so embarrassed, demoralized, and lost on defense that they are blaming coaches for not putting them in positions to succeed.

Clearly, the players are not very good, but McCarthy’s garbage about making the scheme fit the players was clearly just another lie, like watching film, to get the job.

No coach. A giant free for all could be a thing of beauty. Someone could even make a play by accident.
