Cocktails and Shots: why do we drink them?

somewhat spin-off of my beer posting from last year. here it goes

so why do we drink them? whats the point? whats its purpose? why can we drink the more simpler drinks like Milk or Ice Tea.

it wouldnt hurt to go from

these bony figured ladies talking about "ga-ga"

to

these fine ladies being healthy and sexy

I've met plenty of ladies who drink alcoholic beverages who are sexy. They also are good conversationalists and they don't babble on about "ga-ga". Just because someone enjoys an adult libation from time to time doesn't mean they aren't healthy. There are times they drink alcohol and times they drink milk, water or anything else. I've also met plenty of sexy of ladies who don't drink alcohol.

By they way, the ladies in the milk picture actually look more bony than the females in the top picture who are described as bony.

Not big in cocktails or shots. If I'm drinking hard liquor it's likely bourbon or scotch neat, typically the latter.

Why? It tastes nice, and helps me relax with its warm little numb comfort.
