I thought he showed some things as a receiving TE. His quickness really jumped out.

He's 6'6 260 but he just didn't move like a guy that big.

In fact all of our TE's were impressive. I hated the Dalton Schultz pick but I felt like he and Jarwin both really looked like much better players. Like they could potentially be more then jags.

I don't know how Witten is going to hold off Jarwin because Jarwin just looks like such a vertical threat that could really help this offense out. Wittens blocking was overrated the last time he was here and I can't imagine it's gotten any better with more age.

I didn't like the Schultz pick at the time either, but he has shown me enough later last year, that I am fine with the pick now. At least enough to see how he develops. And it was not him I had the issue with, it was the position pick. I thought they could have waited TE, and gone Defense.

Jarwin coming along nicely though many on here are saying both blocking needs a lot of work. I didn't really look for that, so can't comment, and won't comment.

But I liked what I seen in McElroy. Good move letting Gathers go, and getting Cody in the game. I still do not want them to keep 4 TE's. So hopefully we can get him to the PS, which I think they can.

Jarwin looks exactly like Gavin Escobar lol.

I don't trust that this offensive staff has any idea how to leverage the skills of multiple TEs. That would be a huge sign of growth, but we'll see.

The thing about Schultz is he looked like a TE with ho hum upside and the way he is moving around I think he might be slightly better then ho hum.

He can block and it looks like he can get downfield a little too.

I think you could say that about any tall TE that is a receiving threat because these teams look for prototypes and they all look kinda similar.

I mean... Vander Esch was Bobby Carpenter this time a year ago.

I thought the same about McElroy, and agree on Jarwin and Schultz. I guess the concern is still that none of them are much as inline blockers, but hopefully that can improve.

I think Schultz is kinda that all around guy. He's solid at everything and I can't imagine Witten being a better blocker then Schultz at this point.

McElroy has a ton of upside. He looked good in his first outing, considering his background.

Promising.

That's what I've expected to hear about Schultz, and what I think the Cowboys hoped for when they drafted him, but some of what I've read is he hasn't shown as much as a blocker as expected - that maybe his bulk and strength aren't quite what they need to be.

He has some deceptive speed.
